I know, I know…. but Christmas is only a few short month away. It’s never too early to start looking for what you may want to add to your little ones Christmas list. So, slowly over the next few months I will be reviewing products from big companies as well as unknown companies that we think would be a great fit under your Christmas tree. The earlier you start the easier it will be on your wallet.
Step2 is just about to release their new Prepare and Share Kitchen Set, this set comes in pink as well as brown in case you have a little chef and pink wouldn’t be a fit.
My Toddler is at the age, where she loves to pretend and cooking and baking is on the top of her list. I knew, a lot of my readers have little boys and girls around the same age, so I defiantly wanted to tell you guys about the new Prepare and Share Kitchen from Step2. You can see firsthand what kind of product this is and if it will hold up to our high standards. Believe it or not, I’m very picky when it comes to toys or products in general, I don’t review anything I think will not work in a family environment or may not hold up to my quality standard.
Step2 is just that, HIGH Quality. We’ve all seen and heard of Step2 and any and all of their products that I have purchased over the years, have lasted many, many years and are looking like new, even after 3 kids and a bunch of friends who used them over the years.
Step2 produces wonderful products for any little Boy or Girl. I’m a HUGE fan of Step2 and I’m not just saying that, because I review a few products for Step2. I defiantly would buy a product with a Step2’s name over a cheaper knock off product. The quality is superb and we all know that! Actually the price is very comparable, I was a little bit surprised when I found out that this kitchen retails for only $89.99. I would have guessed it to be in the $150 – $200 prize range with all these accessories.
Let’s Talk Kitchen. This is what the box looked like when it arrived at our door.
As you can see, the box isn’t overly big. My Toddler is about 3 feet
. The box also isn’t too heavy; you or hubby should be able to carry it fairly easy. Once you open the box, there are only 3 major components and then accessories and stickers.
I had no idea that a kitchen would be so easy to build and only out of 3 components. We’ve all seen the kitchens for toddlers, I just had no idea. I thought there is much more to them. Very cool.
Of course, as you can see, we got the pink kitchen, fit for the little Princess. Putting the Kitchen together wasn’t that difficult at all either. The one thing I wished, that the holes for the screws would be pre-drilled. It was kind of difficult for me to do and hubby had to take over. He actually pulled out an electric screw driver, making it a lot easier to put together. It took hubby about 20 minutes, once he pulled out the electric screw driver. I know the instructions stated a regular screwdriver would work, but if you have the electric one, defiantly grab it. Will make the job so much easier. None the less, this wouldn’t be a turnoff at all.
The instructions were clear to follow, step by step pictures, which I loved! I’m not a big reader, so this was great. This particular kitchen also came with “Sparkling” stickers to decorate the kitchen. That gave it that special touch. The Stickers felt like there were vinyl stickers, easy to wash if they need to be wiped down and also were easy to install on the kitchen walls.
So far, I was quite impressed with all the detail that went into the kitchen. BUT, I was really impressed with all the accessories that are part of the kitchen! Usually you have to buy them separate and if you wouldn’t know about that, you will have a very unhappy toddler come Christmas day
. This was AWESOME! Check out what is part of the Pink Prepare and Share Kitchen Set.
The set is awesome, from pots and pans to coffee cup, doughnuts, bagels, cookies, utensils, plates and trays. All the accessories are the same quality as any of the other Step2 products, sturdy plastic and will last a very long time. I can guarantee that, as a Crazy mom we’ve gone through a lot of cheaper kitchen sets.
But that’s not all… check out our video and hear the stove make a frying noise if the frying pan is placed on the stove top or you can hear a bubbling noise if the pot or coffee pot is placed on the stove, it also lights up. So super cool. We had a blast. My toddler has been making Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner continues for 3 days now. She will not leave her kitchen and if she does, the first thing she tells me. “I have to clean the kitchen first mom”…. She LOVES IT!!!!
What a wonderful product! Step2 hasn’t left out anything from accessories like a pepper mill to trays and even real life look a like cookies and bagels, oh and a pop tart as well. This kitchen will defiantly encourage any role play, pretend play with your Toddler and preschooler.
This kitchen will roll into a Toys ‘R ‘Us near you very soon, just in time for the holiday season, with a retail price of $89.99 very affordable and would be a great gift for your Toddler age 2 and up. For more information, be sure to check out Step2 on the Web, follow on Facebook & Twitter @thestep2company
I was provided with the product for our honest review, all opinions are 100% our own and no other compensation was nor will be received.

When my daughter was little (she is 15 now), I perferred Step 2 over another brand. The quality was excellent (as was the other brand) but the price was not comparable! Step 2 won out on price every time!!! She had many, many pieces and they were passed down thru the family for years. Some of them are still
being used at my sister’s daycare!

So glad to hear you enjoy the Step2 products with your family and now the daycare. That does show they last “forever”… Thanks for sharing with us

I was so impressed with all the details and accessories, what a great deal! I have bought many toys over the years that were made by Step 2 and have never been disappointed. This definately looks like it would also be a great piece! I will be keeping my eye on it come Christmas time when I need to fill a wish!!! Thanks for the great post! 🙂

We bought a Step 2 kitchen 6 years ago for our son, just as his baby brother was being born. We still have it and it’s in great shape! I saw the Prepare & Share Kitchen in pink at Toys R Us this weekend and I’m definitely eyeing it for our daughter for Christmas. Our older Step 2 kitchen is nice, but it’s green/brown and I really want a pink kitchen for our princess.
Any chance Step 2 would host a giveaway for one of these lovely kitchens?

Mami… I know it’s a great kitchen… so far they haven’t announced a Giveaway, BUT I will deff. be all over this for you guys… especially for Christmas… BUT if not… they will deff. make a wonderful Christmas present and with ALL the accessories.. just wonderful. My Daughter loves it and uses her kitchen every day… yet I got in trouble the other day when I burned her Tea..lol.. so I’m banned from her kitchen for a few days :0)….

I like the price of the kitchen itself, but when you factor in tax and delivery (it’s like $34+ for shipping on something that size), it’s not as inexpensive as one would think.
If it were available on Amazon.com tax-free and with free shipping, I’d snatch it up right now!

WOW… can you get it in store? I know our store had it, at least you wouldn’t have to pay Shipping.. mhhh I’ll drop the hint to the company.. Amazon is awesome and I love shopping there… because of NO TAX and FREE Shipping:0)….
Mami2jcn says
The nearest Toys R Us store is about 50 minutes away from us so we only go there once in a blue moon. It might be worth the trip to save on shipping, though!
