I’ve seen the Trooper and the Legend of the golden Key movie all over the internet lately and had been wondering what the movie was all about. Well, just in time my friend Pam from Just like June told me she would share a review of the movie with me and my amazing readers. I couldn’t resisted and had to accept the offer. After reading her review, I totally will add this movie to my WANT to Watch list. Check it out and be sure to also enter the Giveaway below ( and also don’t forget to enter any of the other cool giveaways in our trick or Treat Event HERE), one lucky reader will get their very own copy.

Evil villains, talking dogs, mystery, adventure and lost treasure. That’s the premise behind Trooper and the Legend of the Golden Key, the latest DVD release from E-One Entertainment. Designed to appeal to the entire family, the movie is set in small town America and revolves around the adventures of a boy and his dog.
The plot begins with ten year old Tommy and his parents having moved to a small town. Tommy rescues Trooper, a bloodhound, when the evil town mayor declares Trooper will be sent to the pound if he doesn’t find a home. Tommy learns of the mysterious town legend, The Golden Key, that could be worth one million dollars. It’s up to Tommy, Trooper, and Trooper’s cute little friend, Dash, to unlock the mystery (sorry, I couldn’t resist), and save the town.
TROOPER AND THE LEGEND OF THE GOLDEN KEY by While this movie will never be considered an epic masterpiece and was clearly filmed without multimillion dollar special effects, it is a good movie to watch for a family movie night because it has heart. Kids will probably be captivated by Trooper and Dash, whose thoughts are able to be heard throughout the movie. In fact, much of the story is related from their point of view. The story has an element of suspense but no frightening images or scenes, making it suitable for all ages. Adults might even find themselves wondering what the treasure could be and what the key will unlock.
There’s an underlying message woven throughout the film; good triumphs over evil. We, as adults, know this doesn’t always happen in real life, but the theme leaves us walking away from the film feeling good, with our spirits lifted.
The film has a running time of 81 minutes and stars newcomer Joey Roberts as Tommy, along with the talents of “Daisy Mae” as Trooper and “Foxy” as Dash.
