It’s time for back to school shopping. I know, I know, no one really wants to think about it just yet and everyone is trying to hold on to the summer for a little bit longer.
Trust me, with about an hour of your time, your shopping list and kids in tow you will get it all done and have the rest of the summer to enjoy. This mama knows what she is talking about, I’m seasoned in back to school shopping with a 2nd grader, a 10th grader and a college kid we can get things done quickly and get back to the fun stuff faster.
Don’t make a rookie mistake or be miserable the day before school starts, check out some of my tips below to get your Back to School like a boss ( aka #BTSLikeABoss) done in no time.
-
Grab your child’s Back to School supply list, you can print it online from most school districts OR you can pick it up at Walmart, most school supply lists are available at your local Walmart!
-
Make sure you bring each child’s list with you to the store or pick up each child’s list, not just for one kid, bring all the lists
-
Make a list of items the kids need that may not be on your list like paper products (Teachers love these), backpacks, lunch boxes, sanitizer etc.
-
Sit down, grab a cup of coffee and relax for a minute before heading off to Walmart
-
Buy everything at one store! Walmart has everything, best price in town and you can get it all done in about an hour.
-
Pick up some paper goods for you and your teachers, you know they always need/want tissues, paper towels and other paper goods for the class.
-
Head back home and pat yourself on the shoulder you just finished shopping for all the kids for back to school, that serverse a drink!
See, I told you, shopping for back to school doesn’t have to be a torture, cost a bundle or take forever, nope. Now that you spend your hour at your local Walmart getting everything you can sit back down and enjoy the rest of the summer and not once worry about “OMG, did I get everything for the kids, what store will have the best deal on the folders, the napkins or the tissues.” Nope, not you, you just graduated to being the #BTSLikeABoss Mom! Yup, you are a rock star mom and the kids will head back in style thanks to you! No one needs to know that you really did not break your pocket book or spend all summer running after deals.
Another plus, all the #BTSLikeABoss paper supplies at Walmart are currently treating you and your school with double Box Tops, how awesome is that? YES that will be 8 Box Tops per product for your school on things that you need anyways. The products I found with the double Box Tops are:
-
Kleenex 3 pack bundle with Back To School Graphics
-

I like the Scott toilet tissue, and Kleenex in the stackable boxes for back to school. The larger packages with more of the product is so helpful for back to school because it means less time for me to go to the store and get these products again. I think it is cool that Walmart has so many items at such good deals for back to school!

We don’t have any kids in the house, so there’s no back-to-school shopping for us, but I do save Box Tops For Education for our local school. Thanks for the heads-up about the double Box Tops promotion–I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for them when I’m shopping.

Thank you for the tips. I have five grandchildren who all go to different schools to school shop for. I really need to be organized and up for the task at hand to get in done in one swoop. This is my task next week.
