We had some time to spare before we had coffee and dinner at my grandma’s house, so we decided to drive the 45 minutes to the next bigger town “Schweinfurt” to explore a Wildpark with playgrounds and animals. The park was highly recommended by friends and locals and would be perfect for a quick morning adventure. It was easy to get to the park, just straight ahead and you get there.. cool, yup even from the good ol’ USA….(Smile)…:0)
Once we arrived, it looked like a HUGE wood area, no kids, no attractions, nothing but trees…. but once we walked behind it was amazing… the best part, the entire park, yes, water play area, miniature golf, all the animals, all the play areas are FREE!! the park is sponsored by a lot of big companies as well as the City of Schweinfurt. So if you are stationed in the military or know someone that is stationed in the area, be sure to tell them about the Wildpark in Schweinfurt.
We had a blast; unfortunately it was a bit chilly and it had rained the night before and no sun in sight, but the park was still a lot of fun. Very few people joined us so we had free range of everything and anything. The park was super clean and the animals, which included Elk, Deer, Goats and many, many more where super cool to look at ad to even maybe touch one or two if they came close to the fence.
The older kids had a blast beating each other on the miniature golf station… boy what a fun adventure and all for free.. I still can’t get over that… this is one amazing park and one amazing city, be sure to mark it on your list of things to do if you are ever in the area…….SOOOO MUCH fun and if the weather is nice, I bet the water attraction will also be a hit!!

I love the way how good architect can make natural site (forest) even more interesting for kids (wooden constructions) and change it to very useful public place
