Who doesn’t love a home cooked spaghetti sauce that simmered all day and just has mouthwatering flavor like you slaved over it all day?
We haven’t had Spaghetti in a few weeks and the kids had been asking for it. Sure, it’s a quick meal, but I wanted the real home cooked taste that I usually get when I cook my pasta sauce all day.
I never cooked pasta sauce in the crockpot, but why wouldn’t it work? After all, you cook it all day in there, too?
So before I left for work the other day I added all the ingredients and came home to a wonderful smelling home. it smelled like I slaved all day over the stove to have this comfort food taste like Homemade. The kids loved it and had even thirds and hubby was totally impressed with the flavor.
Little tip: I cooked the meat before I added it to the crockpot, you don’t have to do it, but the sauce was a lot less greasy then if I left the meat frozen… but either way is fine
1 pound Ground Beef ( you can use Italian Sausage as well )
2 cups Onion, chopped
1 1/2 Tbl garlic, minced
1 12 oz can tomato paste

4 Bay Leaves
3 Tbl sugar
2 Tbl Italian Seasoning
This is how to make it:
