Excited to #SEEMIB3 before the actual release come join me #Cbias

We are big Men in Black fans and watch the original movies on a regular basis during our family fun movie night. Always a joy to watch even after so many years; I just love Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones together. When I found out that the new Men in Black 3 (MIB3) would be available at Walmart as an exclusive Pre-Purchase, I knew I had to come up with a way to surprise the kids. They know, I don’t just run out and buy a movie, especially without a coupon or a sale, but to me MIB3 would have been worth it (shhh.. don’t tell the boys, they might get ideas).

Since report cards came out and both Teen’s did a marvels job in their grades this 1st grading period, I thought a little treat would be in order to tell them how proud I’m of my Teens and what better excuse way then to surprise them with the MIB3 Pre-Purchase?

I picked up Teen#1 from school and gave him the news that we would be heading to Walmart  and mentioned the MIB3 DVD Pre-Purchase, which is exclusive to Walmart. His face was priceless, he thought I was kidding. Nope, I wasn’t and his picture is above to proof how in disbelieve he was that Mom would buy a DVD without any kind of coupon. But good grades are worth it to me (right?).

We really didn’t need much at Walmart, so this was going to be a quick trip in and out with our Pre-Purchase DVD in hand; or so I thought. The teen ran off to the Entertainment section before I could even say “hello” to the friendly greeter. Now granted, our Walmart isn’t like an airport, but I sure lost my Teen within 5 minutes of entering the store.

I decided to just abandon him for a few minutes, after all, he’s a Teen and track down a copy of the oh so “HOT” MIB3 Pre-order Blu-Ray Combo. I kind of got lucky, as soon as I walked up to the New Releases display I saw one single copy, sitting there smiling and winking at me to take it home. Well, hello friend, you don’t have to tell me twice to grab the only copy left and take it home, in my cart it went!

To my surprise the Walmart Exclusive Pre-Purchase Blu-Ray & DVD Combo was only $21.95, not a bad price at all, especially without a sale and coupon. But the best part, you can watch the movie days in advance before the actual DVD release. How super cool is that? Well, we are finally home and as promised I was going to tell you all about how the Walmart Pre-Purchase DVD works; it’s actually very simple. You purchase the Movie in store and then you have 3 easy steps to get to your brand new movie.

Step#1 From your PC log into (or create) Vudu.com/mib3

Step#2 Follow the easy setup steps and enter your exclusive Redemption code (located inside the DVD case you purchased at Walmart).

Step#3 Wait till November 16th and start watching the movie…. everyone else will not get the DVD release until November 30th in store!!

How does Vudu.com work?

If you have never heard of Vudu.com, don’t feel bad. I had to do a little research for this one, too. I had never heard of Vudu.com before and had no idea what it was. I quickly realized that this Vudu.com is actually a super cool thing, you Pre-purchase specially marked movies like MIB3 and enter your code, you can choose on with platform to watch your movie (early releases on many movies before they go out to the public as well). You can choose between iPad, PC, xBox360, Playstation3 or through your Blu-ray DVD player.

The actual DVD for your MIB3 purchase (if you provide your address before 11/26/2012) will be mailed directly to your home. So you are not missing anything, but you get to watch the brand new DVD release weeks before everyone else. How super cool is that?
