The Hero Next Door
Heroic, resourceful and calm in a crisis, Fireman Sam is a pillar of the community and the hero of many rescues. Sam lives alone in a fully-automated home that allows him to get washed, dressed and ready for work in seven seconds flat.

Sam is a born inventor who spends much of his spare time tinkering in his inventing shed. Although his inventions don’t always live up to his expectations, nothing can dampen his enthusiasm. Everyone in Pontypandy knows that nothing is too much trouble for Fireman Sam. "Leave it with me, I’ll see what I can do." is his reply to the many requests for his help. Sam is renowned for keeping a cool head in a hot spot. It’s only when he’s really surprised that he exclaims "Great Fires of London!" Sam is a kind and attentive uncle to Sarah and James who idolize him. Sam drives "Jupiter" the fire engine, which is the pride of the Pontypandy Fire Service.

How did my Toddler like it?
There is something about Fireman that makes little boys and Girls just fall in love. This show is totally cute and I have never seen or heard of it before. We had a long car ride to Miami the other day and my Toddler enjoyed watching the fun Rescues that Fireman Sam was called out for. She giggled and laughed and worried with Sam; she was right there along him for the ride.

If you haven’t seen Sam yet, I have a chance for you to win his brand new DVD which will hit store shelves on July 5th and will retail for $9.99, you can pre-order your copy through Amazon.com.
