For 30 years, MAM has been providing high-quality baby products to parents here in the US. MAM oral care and teething products are BPA free, very baby safe and come in a variety of colors and stages for every age. My son Keller is now 23 months and he is no longer teething but I did send the Bite & Brush and the Oral Care Rabbit off to a couple babies we know so they could try them out. The rabbit helps with wiping down new teeth and gums while the bite & brush helps with babies who want to chew and I’ve been told they both work extremely well.
Keller and I tried out the brushes together. MAM makes training, first and massaging brushes. The massaging brush (far right in pic) is sturdy and slender. It provides some great textures that babies will find interesting but I did not like the fact that there was no mouth guard to keep it from going too far back into the throat. My guy has a strong grip and he tried to grab this a few times quite forcefully which could be a bit dangerous if it was inside the mouth. It was easy to grip and if you are careful enough it would provide some nice relief to a little teether. The training brush (far left pink one) was pretty ideal for us, it has a long handle so that my guy can be holding it at the same time as me. It’s great for helping to show him the motions of how he supposed to brush. The way the bristles are oriented does provide excellent tooth coverage and they were really soft. The tongue scraper end was kind of weird for us; it didn’t really work quite right for scraping the tongue because of the angle. My child only wanted to chew on it. Last but certainly not least was the first brush that we tried. The grips on the short handle were easy to hold and prevented slipping in my guy’s little hand. The bottom of the brush is supposed to be used as a tongue cleaner but again we found it a little bit awkward. I really think it would be easier to manipulate if it was more flat and not so round and large. The bristles were very soft and definitely provided some great tooth coverage.
MAM has some excellent resources for parents on their website. I found the teething-time planner to be really interesting. There is also a really great video to watch that is all about their oral care products. Parents can even join the MAM Club to get newsletters, coupons, enter contests and become product testers.
