Rubabu “Just Triangles” Review

What a cool name Rubbabu; when I first heard of Rubbabu I wasn’t too sure, but the name sounded cool I knew it was something fun for kids, so I investigated a little more to see what this company actually has to offer. I found out that they have all sorts of cool kids toys, lots of them won awards in different categories and they toys are all made of natural rubber foam and covered with a smooth velvety surface. This was soo cool, the look was just so unique and different and I wanted to check them out closer. Once we got our box from Rubbabu everyone had to see what it was. We got the Just Triangles in and the kids had a ball. They created “masterpieces” like they called it, sorted by color, stacked them, and had a Triangle war in the house, to the older kids, even hubby, that was the best thing ever. They had the house all dark and were hiding in closets and corners and hit each other.. They had so much fun. Now this toy wasn’t really intended for the “Triangle War” but the older boys had a ball.

The toddler really enjoyed it as well, once the older boys gave it back to her. She kept asking me “What color is this mom” and she got pretty good at recognizing her colors. She sorted the triangles and put the like colors in one stack and then started to count each; there are so many possibilities to use this Just Triangle set. It is recommended age 1 and up, but being it so soft and all foam, it could be used on a child younger than 1. I think the reason they suggested age 1 and up is, they do not recommend children chewing on the toy, not for health reason but the toy will not hold up well if chewed on. You also should not put the Foam Squares into the washing machine, just clean them with a damp cloth and they are good to go.

What did we think? I as a mom loved them, the colors are bright and wonderful, and the foam is great. Not too soft, and not too stiff, the smooth velvet surface just needs to be touched and I catch myself even now while typing this review, touching the velvet and paying with the triangles… They would also make a good Stress relief for moms and dads, you know the ones you squeeze…lol.. They are great. Wonderful imaginary toy for your little ones and the price is right, too. They retail for $24.99 and can be purchased through Amazon.com and Rubbabu.com as well as many national retailers starting February 2011. I also love the fact that these toys are completely “Green” toys.
