For me a coupon binder does not work with my lifestyle. I am not an extreme couponer. I do not commit 20 – 35 hours a week to my couponing. I am more interested in have couponing adjust to my lifestyle than having to adjust my lifestyle to fit my couponing. People with coupon binders just clenched them defensively. I am not against the coupon binder for some. If you have the time I commend you. You will probably get deals I won’t.
That being said, what do I do with all of my coupons?
I use the insert method.
My aunt bought me this amazing organizer!! It holds everything I use. Bigger than a coupon binder? Yes but it works for me.
The top shelf holds all of my store fliers, home mailers, and an envelope for my blinkies, tearpads, and anything clipped but not used.
I write the date the insert came in on front of the insert and put it in the drawer. Each drawer holds about 2 weeks.
When I need a coupon I pull the inserts for that day and clip only what I need. This saves me a lot of time. I do not clip coupons I won’t use. I prefer this method but I say do what works for you. If you couldn’t dream of leaving home without your binder, don’t. Couponing is a personal thing. Each person lives and organizes different.
Side note from Crazy Mom:
I also use a similar system and HERE is a post on how to make your own coupon binder
