A few days ago, I mentioned to you the amazing “Cheerios sendCheer campaign”. I decided to take the Toddler and set off to Walmart to see if we can find some of the specially marked Cheerios boxes so we could send out our “THANKS” as well. This is such a great and easy campaign that can get the entire family involved and doesn’t require too much time.

My Tween cut the cards out of the Cheerios boxes and the Toddler patiently waited for him to finish so she could add the postage stamp. She was so excited to be able to help.

If you aren’t familiar with the program, be sure to check out my prior post and read the info below.

HOW DOES THIS CAMPAIGN WORK?
During the months of November, 2011, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. You can simply cut out the postcard from the Cheerios Box, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheerios send Cheer campaign card to military families across the country.

Walmart has a nice little display, so be sure to grab a few boxes next time you are shopping so you and your family can spread the Cheer as well.

We had a wonderful time teaching our Toddler, Tween and Teen on the values of life. It’s so important to say “THANKS” and especially to people who put their life on the line each and every day, their families who miss them while protecting us. There are no words to describe how Thankful we are to these amazing Hero’s and we can never say THANKS enough too often!

We cut out our cards, wrote  a few nice words and walked them to our mailbox..The entire family was involved and everyone felt proud of being able to help.

Now since you’ve send off all these amazing cards to spread some Cheer, what to do with the leftover Cheerios you ask? Simple, let me give you some ideas, I don’t want you to “Not” buy them because you don’t want to eat Cheerios for a year.

  • Snack time, Cheerios are great for the little ones, keep them in a snack bag and take along in the car.
  • Make Cheerios Cereal Bars, Snack Mix or many other recipes
  • Use Cheerios for craft, make Cheerios Collage, counting sheets and so on
  • EAT for BREAKFAST!!
  • Share with Family and friends
  • …. What other idea do you have? Would love to hear it…..

Just remember, Clip…. Write….. Mail… it’s as simple as that!!
