Boy, it’s Monday again… and I have to make yet another Meal Plan.. I can not believe it. What should we cook today? While I’m thinking about our Meal Plan, I’ll let you check out some of the pictures of my Princess’s remodeled Bedroom; we spend the last 3 weekends painting, building and moving her into her new room; we did all the work ourselves, so it was a slow pace…. What ya think.. was it worth it??
This is what the room looked like before the makeover; a typical BOY room, my Teen got a new room in the garage that we turned into a Teen living area.
Now that our Princess was old enough and the remodeled garage, which was her Nursery at one point, didn’t work well with all her toys and Girl things; we decided to switch the Princess and the Teen’s room and this is what the Princess is living in now… we did all the work ourselves and re-used a lot of the cabinets, just painted them white and repurposed old night stands for under the window seating…. what ya think… did the remodel turn out great or what?? I wanted the look that all the cabinets and shelf’s look like semi-what build in so I hope this shows a bit… looks like a total different room now…

Soooo…. What ya think of our remodel project; we aren’t really all that good at wood working and we kind of make things up along the way…. but I think this sure turned out great and is fit for a princess….and really quite affordable thanks to Ikea; lots of repurposing and a lot of elbow grease….. Enough about remodel; I wanna rest for a few weeks… so let’s see what we can cook up this week. I think it will be another Pinterest kind of week for us; last week sure turned out great with simple ideas and lots of new recipes, so why not do it again…..
Monday: Fried Rice with Orange Glazed Chicken and Fried Wanton
Tuesday: BLT Wraps
Wednesday: Greek Gyro in pitas with salad
Thursday: German Goulash in the Crockpot
Friday: Leek Au Gratin Potatoes with German Hamburger Patties
Saturday: Breakfast for dinner with Banana Nutella Crepes and other Breakfast favorites
Sunday: Mom’s night OFF!!! Dinner at Mimi’s house …..

You’re princess’s room is adorable! And the boys was equally as cool! I’m the momma of one boy and one princess…and we just moved to a new house…I’m loving some of your storage ideas!

Love the way the room turned out. My boy has the same Ikea bed. We do a lot of things ourselves, too. It may take longer but it usually cheaper and also more rewarding!!!

That looks like a ton of work, but it came out great. I bet she is real proud of her room. I know that when my kids were younger they had to show everyone that came over our house their bedroom. Great job, really, it doesn’t even look remotely like the old room!
