Zoku Quick Pop Maker Review

Zoku Quick Pop MakerZoku Quick Pop Maker

Summer is upon us and my kids, especially the Toddler keeps asking for a treat. Being a Frugal shopper I always buy Ice-cream or Fruit Pops when they are on sale and they have to last us through the next sale, or we will be without some for a while. I just can’t seem to pay $5 a box of 4 popsicles, but the toddler loves her some frozen treat.

Looking through some of my favorite Magazines the other day, I found a company called Zoku and I checked out their Website. I was so mesmerized by what they stated their product would do that I just had to check it out. It sounded too good to be true.

We all know the old way of how to make Ice Cream, use a Ice Cream Maker, Rock Salt and wait for hours, and then maybe get some ice Cream. For me, this was never an option, I’m not a patient person, get it done and get it done now is my Motto, this is exactly what Zoku claimed they can do. They said I can have a home made Ice-cream Pop in about 7 (!!!) minutes… yup you heard that right… 7 as in Seven minutes… your Pop will be done.

This sounds too good to be true, I had to check it out for you guys and the other day a box arrived. Boy was I surprised, I got the entire Zoku Quick Pop Maker Unit along with Accessories and a Book.

The kids were super excited, the first thing we did was take the unit, cleaned it and put it in the freezer, the entire Zoku Quick Pop Maker Unit is about the size of a 1/2 gallon Ice Cream container, fairly small and will fir in any Freezer, it has to be in the Freezer for a minimum of 24 hrs for the initial use and after that you can just stick it back in the Freezer till the next use.

Once our 24h was up, we took the unit out, created a Yogurt Smoothie and filled the Ice Cream canister per instructions, of course, if you read my blog you know that I don’t do well with instructions…lol.. So yup, I added too much to some of the pops. No big deal, add the pop sticks and put our timer on 7 minutes… within the first 2 minutes or so we could tell Ice started to form on the top of the unit and it was too cool, we counted down the time and the kids had a blast.. of course everyone was on needles and pins, the 7 minutes seemed like 3 days…lol.. Ding, ding, ding time was up, now it was time to take our handy dandy removal tool, twist it onto the pop stick and twist, and twist, and twist..pop… PULL… and Voila… we have a perfect ice Cream Pop…. WOWO….. This was super easy, quick and soo healthy.

You can insert fruits into you Pop, Chocolate Chips anything you like… this is such a  cool Unit and fully customizable to your family likes and needs; this can be as healthy as you like or as “junk” food as you like… AWESOME….You can use Cream, Fresh Fruit, Fruit Puree anything you can think of!!! Can you tell, I’m super excitedSmile

We are hocked. Did it pass my expectations you ask? Most defiantly, I’m super excited that we can have ice Cream in less than 10 minutes an healthy stuff to boot. The unit makes 3 pops at a time and it will up to 9 pops before you need to Freeze it again. The best part, once the Unit is frozen there are no cords or electricity needed, you can even have the little ones help you create their very own ice Cream Pop.

This would be cool for a Birthday party or a sleep over, have buffet of different tasty treats and have the kids create their very own creation. What a fun thing this would be.

The Book is wonderful, it comes with 91 pages jam packed full of yummy creations and ideas on how to create your pops; it’s like a gourmet pop in the frugal style.. I love that; the books shows you how to create all sort of different pops along with layers and inserting fruit as well as an outer shell. So cool. For some sample recipes be sure to check out the Blog. They have a bunch of great tips and ideas there.

I’m in love with my Zoku Quick Pop Maker  you defiantly should check out their Website, Follow them on @ZokuHQ  or on Facebook to stay up to date with all the new creations, ideas and products. This sure is a wonderful idea and a must have this summer.

The Unit retails for $49.99 and can be purchased through Amazon.com.

I was provided with the products for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own and no other compensation was nor will be received.
