iPad Palette Case from The Joy Factory Review

April 19, 2011 By Melanie Roberts 22 Comments

If you have an iPad , you should defiantly check out this review for the Palette by The Joy Factory. Since I got my iPad a few month ago, I have been on the hunt for a case or something to keep it protected. I hardly would let the kids touch the iPad in fear they would break it. After all, that thing wasn’t cheap. I came across a company called “The Joy Factory” and loved their products, the colors are just hip and appeal pretty much to anyone. They asked me to check out a few of their products and here is my first review on the “Palette”. The Palette comes in 5 different colors (Cotton Candy Blue, Honeydew, Peach, Raspberry and Black). I got the raspberry one; it looks like a pinkish red, my Teen loves the color, he’s a big red fan. I like it, too.

The Palette is  slim, lightweight and durable, not to mention sassy. Choose from the five different colors to show off your personal style. The Joy Factory’s patent-pending design gives you unlimited horizontal viewing angles—from 90 to 160 degrees. That’s more than any other case on the market! Plus, it’s easy to adjust and lock in your favorite angle. Having friends over? The Palette’s unique design with a hole in the stand lets you hang your iPad on the wall, so you can view hands-free or entertain a room-full with movies, photos or videos. It also saves you space and lets you grip your iPad securely.

Installation was very easy and simple
, you just separate the base from the trim, lay your iPad in and clip the trim back on; once the trim is on you are done!! The stand itself is very “hard” in a good way to pull out. At first I was afraid to put too much pulling power on the stand to pull it out, I was afraid to break it. The stand springs are very tight and you have to really put some muscles to it to pull it out. Once I was used to that, I LOVED IT!!!! This little piece of plastic is AMAZING!! I was soo excited, this is exactly what I had been looking for. I can adjust the stand by pushing my iPad away from me or pulling towards me; so simple. I can sit it on the stove next to me when I’m cooking and I need to pul
l up a recipe, or I can sit it on the table while we eat breakfast, so I can read the newspaper on the iPad. Typing in the upright position is soo much easier, too. This stand is so easy even my toddler could use it.

My toddler had bugged me for some time to play on the iPad, so I agreed, since I had the protective case on I figured it wouldn’t slip off the table as easy. Boy, never under estimate a Toddler. I handed it to her and on her own she flipped and turned and adjusted the stand, just like a pro. It was like second nature to her and she is a toddler… I loved it. I swear they are born that way J

I cannot say enough good things about this stand, it’s hard shell keeps your iPad very protected and since the stand can be adjusted from 90-160 degrees, there are so many possibilities for
you to use this. You can sit it on the table while you have company and use your iPad as a TV screen showing off some videos, or pictures, you can put it on the counter while you are cooking, you could even use it on your desk. The possibilities are endless, you actually could hang it on the wall as well.

I cannot believe that such a little piece of plastic changed my look on my iPad completely; before this Palette case, my iPad was sitting in the computer room on the highest shelf so none of the kids would touch it, needless to say I didn’t touch it either. I just couldn’t warm up to the iPad ; everyone else at the office loved theirs, but I just didn’t care for it. Now I know, I was missing the right accessories. Since I have the Palette Case, I love the iPad, I already took it to the park and read while the kids where playing and brought it to the grocery store with my recipe list, so I knew what I needed. I’m not as worried for the kids to use the iPad and all thanks to this little piece of plastic.

If you haven’t found the perfect case for you, I defiantly recommend you check out The Joy Factory, I guarantee you, they will have something you love and you will be forever grateful.

This case can be wiped down with a wet cloth if needed, is completely out of plastic, sturdy yet very light weight. The Palette comes with a black Micro Fiber Dust Bag, which will keep your iPad protected when not in use and will also double as a cleaning cloth for your screen… LOVE THAT. Overall I’m very pleased with the Palette and The Joy Factory, we would highly recommend this iPad case, I would say this is a modern case rather than a Business style case, I love the fun and fresh colors, but for a business meeting the Black may be a better choice, or check out some of the other products that The Joy Factory has to offer. You can also Follow the Joy Factory on Facebook and @the_joy_factory to stay up to date with all the new cool products they will release. P.S. a little tip.. they will release coupon codes on Facebook and @the_joy_factory. So make sure you follow them so you won’t miss out.

You can purchase your own Palette through Amazon.comor directly through The Joy Factory and the suggested retail value is $44.95.

I was provided with the product listed above for my honest review, no other compensation was nor will be received and all opinions are 100% my own.

This is a really nice case.. love the color too. Great review and cute picture of your daughter using the ipad. It’s funny how easily they catch on, sometimes easier than we do!

Looks like it stands at a good angle too. thanks for the review.

I am not lucky enough to have an iPad yet, but my friend has been asking me for weeks to find her a deal on a case and I have to say that I have now found one. I love the HoneyDew color personally and the fact that it can stand makes the iPad look so much more “user-friendly”. I am now following them on twitter to look for those coupon codes to pass along! Excellent find – thank you for sharing!!

Wow that looks really nice. I absolutely LOVE the colors in the Palette- not sure whether Honeydew or Cotton Candy is my favorite though! I am hoping to get an iPad and when I do I will definitely come back to the Joy Factory. Their products look like really good quality! Thanks for sharing this- I’m so glad I came across it.

That’s a really cute cover! The only problem I have with stands (we have a different one with a stand) is that it invites the kids to play with the iPad even more than they already do! LOL

hahah Nicole, that is sooo TRUE 🙂 my kids tend to grab it more often now, and I do, too… so a stand is really a MUST for the iPad 🙂

Really cute cover! I love all of the features. I have a cover for my IPad, but it doesn’t do nearly as much. TFS!

I do love my iPad and I purchased the cover but not a stand or case for it as of yet. This looks great and the colors are terrific. I keep mine tilted in a box to view it, but I do like this stand and I will have to look into purchasing this. I am glad more accessories are coming out for iPads.
