The secret to a rock bottom coupon shopping trip is how you prepare. Your research takes up at least half of all of your coupon work but it could mean the difference between $20 and $100.

Tips for Research:
- Find a local Blogger who will do most of the leg work for you. Typically a Blogger will put together the match ups based off of the store’s local ad. Then their followers will comment and let others know about any other deals they found in the store!

Find a coupon database and learn to love it. You can do your own matchups just by looking at the ad and searching that product in the database. If there is a coupon for the product then you very well could have a good deal!

Make a Facebook group for a bunch of local coupon users so that you can quickly trade coupons and share any deals that might have been unadvertised for that week. I made one and it is very beneficial when everyone is working together!

Scout the store before you shop. The stores will sometimes give you some of the participating items just to get you in the store. Then once you get there you will see all of the items that are participating and their prices. When it is a two week sale at Kroger and they don’t give me everything in the ad, you can find me walking up and down the aisles taking pictures of each item. This is helpful for the group of people in bullet point #3 because you are saving them time.
Research might not sound like a big deal with only 4 bullet points but I can promise you that you will spend a lot of time making sure you are getting the best bang for your buck on your trip. Who wants to make multiple trips to the store anyways?
