Many of you know that my Teen loves to work out. He spends hours every day at the gym and also enjoys healthy snack and dinner options that go along with his work out routine.
He is very dedicated to his health and staying fit and one thing that he is very big on and keeps asking me to stock is protein. He likes a protein shake after working out to keep his energy going and for his muscles to relax. We recently found Premier Protein while shopping at Sam’s Club, I’m sure it is available at different retailers nation wide.
My Teen always checks out new Protein drinks and he was very impressed with what he found on the Premier Protein packaging. Check it out.

He couldn’t wait to try the already mixed shakes. He isn’t a fan of premixed shakes and rather uses the powder to make his individual drink or meal, which Premier Protein comes in powder as well as snack bars and the premade shakes.
I decided after one of his workouts to surprise him with a Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Power shake. I figures he loves all the ingredients and why not make it special for him.
Since he always like the protein powder because he can mix it in his meals like pancakes, sweets or the shakes, but I wanted to proof to him that even on the go he can grab the Premier Protein shakes and enjoy a delicious quick drink that will power him up in no time. I totally proved him right! He loved my combination and if I would not have told him that I used the pre made shakes, he would have never know.
This is what you need:
- 1 cup ice
- 1 Premier Protein Chocolate Shake
- 1 banana, fresh or frozen
- 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter
This is how to make it:
- Mix all ingredients in your blender; voila. 2 Minutes max and you have a delicious smoothie ready to go.
My Teen gave the Premier Protein shakes 2 thumbs up and really enjoyed the chocolate flavor. He was impressed with how smooth it tasted and not “fake” like most pre made shakes. He authorized me to buy many more for him to enjoy after his work out at the gym and as a quick snack.

Did your drink get all foamy? Mine famed all up, what did I do wrong
Melanie Roberts says
Hi Penny; mine did foam as well as you can see in the picture, not much though. If yours foamed a lot maybe cut down a little on the protein? I’ve made these at least once a week now during the summer and never had it foam a lot. Hope that helps

Add a 1/4 cup of oats to that recipe and it’s now a delicious meal!
