Everyone’s favorite chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore, and their female companions, The Chipettes, have the time of their lives during a family vacation they’ll never forget in ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: CHIPWRECKED, debuting on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on March 27 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The hilarious live-action comedy will also be available as an exciting “Island Adventure” edition on Blu-ray and 2-Disc DVD, filled with tons of fun for the whole family to enjoy just in time for Easter.
The Chipmunks, Chipettes and their caretaker Dave Seville (Jason Lee; “My Name is Earl”) embark on a trip of a lifetime aboard the Carnival Dream cruise ship. Seeking fun and excitement, the Chipmunks turn the luxury cruise liner into their own personal playground. But the ultimate vacation quickly becomes a disaster when the Chipmunks, Dave and Carnival cruise pelican mascot, who turns out to be the chipmunks’ old manager, Ian Hawke (David Cross; Megamind), accidentally fall overboard and find themselves ‘chipwrecked’ on a remote island. Stuck in an unfamiliar territory, the six furry castaways are separated from Dave and must figure out a way to survive on their own for the first time in their lives.
How did we like it?
Alvin and the Gang sure Rocked the boat with this new DVD; the extra features are just as much fun as the movie itself. There is over an hour of Island Adventures, Sing Along and music as well as Chipmunk Fun for the entire family. My Toddler danced her little heart out and couldn’t stop asking to watch the movie over and over and over.
Finally a fun movie for the entire family to enjoy. My 4 year old had just as much fun during our movie night as my Tween and teen; everyone was entertained and had a good Ol’ time watching the movie; best part, no one fell asleep, no one walked out of the room and no one said “I’m bored”… so the 88 minutes of Nutty adventures are sure to keep everyone laughing on entertained throughout the movie.
If you decide to purchase the Blu-ray, be sure to access your digital code so you and the rest of the family can watch the movie on any digital device.. Which comes in handy on a car ride or waiting in the Dr. Office on a Monday morning :0).
