St. Patrick’s Day is fast approaching… and we all know the phrase…”Luck of the Irish”… Do you really have to be Irish to have all the luck?? I beg you different, I’m German and I think I’m pretty lucky gal myself. I truly believe that everyone has a few lucky stars that come out sometimes when they are most needed and sometimes totally unexpected like the new Redbox Lucky to Have Friends like you promotion.
I always think I’m a lucky girl, I moved to this country with my baby boy, 15 years ago, barely spoke English and had nothing but the luggage that we left Germany with. I can honestly say after many ups and downs, I finally managed to speak and write English, and I was lucky to land a job at a wonderful office in town., my luck didn’t stop there, I meet the most wonderful husband a girl could ever ask for, and after a few years he made me the luckiest Bride in town and became a wonderful dad to my boys… from then on my life changed and Luck has been all around me our biggest and most precious price has been giving birth to a Beautiful baby girl. Being a Mom of a Tween, a Teen and a Toddler has been the most amazing thing in my life and I think I’m pretty lucky to have wonderful kids, I couldn’t have asked for any better… The only thing that would make me jump for joy would be to be able to see my Mom and grandma again, I haven’t been lucky enough to find cheap airfare to visit my family, I haven’t seen them in 10+ years… but with a little luck and some planning we will be home in 4 short years for a family reunion.. I hope… wish me luck J
Now fast forward a few years and I still can count my lucky stars, I have dinner cooked when I get home (thanks hubby), my house is semi-clean thanks to my Tween and Teen and my two pups can count their lucky stars that I was able to find an awesome coupon and sale to get them a car load of dog treats for free….
