Are you planning a Christmas dinner with the entire family? What’s on your menu list? I’ve teamed up with a few amazing bloggers to give you some ideas what you could add and see what we are dishing up for our families. My dessert will WOW you!
I decided on dessert, as usual. I love dessert and sweets as you can tell that has been my favorite thing lately. I love sharing recipes and ideas but dessert sure has my heart right now.
I wanted to share another German favorite with you it’s a little adapted with products I was able to find here, similar to a Black Forest cake just in a mousse parfait and without the alcohol, although if you like to add Cherry Liquor feel free to do that.
It’s fancy it’s delicious but best of all it’s very simple and you can make it in just a few minutes and everyone will think you slaved for hours. I love to bring dessert for family and friends to enjoy and share my German traditions.
Let me introduce you to my version of a Black Forest Chocolate Mousse Parfait
Did I promise too much? It’s sooo easy but oh my delicious. I love bringing my German heritage to the dinner table and not a holiday goes by when I will not dish up something from home.
This dessert brought back fond memories for me and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we are. Make sure to keep any leftovers in an airtight Tupperware for a day or two or you could try to freeze it for later. I do have to warn you that I have never done that, we never have any leftovers, but try it and see how it turns out. Would love to hear from you if you do, leave me a comment below.
I love to pick up my sour Cherries at World Market, very affordable and good and for the whip cream I’m totally addicted to my Ninja Kitchen Machine lately and use it all the time. Takes like 2 minutes to whip the cream and it’s done. Super easy and fast. If you are still using your good ol mixer it may take a little longer. As for the Spekulatius, they are usually found at every store in the cookie section, I always pick mine up at Aldi. They are amazing and super cheap for a family pack.

I have had Black forest cake before but I like these parfaits better. The kids would feel like grownups with their own.
