Boy, do you know what time it is? Hard to believe but it’s almost time to change the clocks back an hour. November 3rd is the magic day and if you are like me, I’m counting down to get that extra hour of sleep, family time or time to relax. What are you planning with your extra hour?
I know we are all super busy and that extra hour will be a welcome change (until they take it away for Spring forward….whaaaa); but I wanted to remind you to take a few minutes out of your busy day and when you go around changing all the clocks in your house, also change the batteries in your Smoke detectors. It’s that simple to safe life’s.
Did you know, thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24 percent occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries?
Let’s not be a statistic, take the time change the batteries and enjoy your family without worrying; smoke and carbon detectors due safe life, I hope you will never need it, but it will be ready and “Screaming” when it’s needed and when you are in need.
