It has been beautiful in Central Florida the last few weeks, dry, low humidity and sunshine galore. I love this time of the year, the only thing I dread every year is the dry skin that this season brings with it.
This year I made a batch of Conversation Heart Vanilla Scrub, which was the perfect combination of moisture and great as a gift for Valentine’s Day for teachers and friends. It took me no time at all to make but it did wonders on my dry skin.
When I tell you it was easy, I’m really not lying, this took a few minutes to make, fill in a nice container, glass or box and add a few Valentine Sticker or décor and your gift is ready for the recipient to enjoy. It is THAT simple.
It’s a perfect, affordable gift idea that will give happiness to everyone who receives it. I’m in love with the texture and could play with it all day. So calming and soothing, who would have known a few simple ingredients, mixed together would be this amazing.
Did I tell you too much? I did say it was easy, right? Just think all the gifts you can create in minutes, for pennies and all the smiles and “Thank You” you will receive. Get your list ready and start making this wonderful Conversation Heart Vanilla Scrub. It smells amazing, too.
My daughter who is 8 loved helping me with this and she had a blast decorating the scrub with the hearts, so let the kids help, it will be a fun experience and I know they will enjoy the texture as much as you do. Let them get creative!
After all is done, grab a jar of your own and enjoy it. Ahhhh the smooth skin, the beautiful smell, I don’t think I ever wanna ran out of this. It’s also very easy to change up the scent with a few different scents like lemon juice for Lemon sugar scrub or Lavender Oil for Lavender sugar scrub. I love using high quality essential oils and the possibilities are endless.
One favorite one of mine is to add Menthol crystals and the scent in the bath will be amazing, especially if you have a cold. Since the scrubs are safe to use even for the little ones, this would be a great home remedy to make them breathe a little better.
Now you have a few ideas how to stay well this Cold & Flu season as well as a fun Valentine’s Day gift for your friends and family. If you are anything like me, you will get addicted and make the Sugar scrub in all different variations. Feel free to share your favorite combinations below and I will share in the weeks to come a few of my favorite ones, too. Don’t forget to pin it to your pinterest so you will not lose the recipe.
I’d love to hear your favorite “flavors” share them below and let’s chat and get the ideas flowing.
