We had a blast the other day shopping at Walmart for the ALL YOU and Champions for kids “Couponing for Good” campaign. We decided to keep you posted on what we actually bought and how the teachers reactions where when we delivered our safety kit to my daughters pre-K class.
To refresh your mind, our mission was to use coupons and do good with what we can buy. We ended up buying items that are always needed for my daughters Pre-K class and combining some coupons from the ALL YOU magazine and the Sunday newspaper, we ended up spending under $50 on our grocery trip for the week and saved $10 in coupons; that also included our Donation items for the Pre-K class.
Check out what we were able to purchase for our school with coupons and very little out of pocket. We can do it.. YOU can too!!!
If you are a couponer you already know that the ALL YOU Magazine is a MUST have not only for the amazing tips and ideas or recipes, but also for the amazing coupons that are inside each and every issue. This month you can save over $70 by using the coupons inside the April ALL YOU issue, available exclusive to Walmart, but so worth it!!
Another great thing about using coupons, you are always able to find FREE items like toothbrushes, Toothpaste, soap, band-aids, lotions or any kind of things that are always in need in your family or school as well as churches or any place that is in need of donations. My favorite part is being able to help out my community while still saving money and making people happy along the way. The best feeling in the world!!!
Last Friday we finally put together our kit and delivered it to my daughters pre-k teacher; we didn’t tell her we were coming or what our mission was, we totally surprised her with the “goodie” box and as you can see, she was so appreciative, surprised and totally happy.
Ms. Martinez and Ms. Sonja, are our pre-K teachers, amazing teachers, who would do anything for our little ones. I bet you have a teacher like this caring for your little one, too. I challenge you, grab a coupon or two and buy things that our teachers need and help them out a bit. They love our kids, let’s show them we love them as well!! Doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, just a few clippings and great deals and we all can do some good in our community!!
Be sure to check out our Google Plus Story with lots more pictures and up close of the items we included in our Couponing for Good Safety Kit.

As a former teacher I can say that teachers DEFINITELY need and can distribute donations so this was a great idea for a place to donate! 🙂
