My family loves movie night and everyone knows Friday night is THE night. I try to make it special and different each week and each week a different child (or Mom & Dad) gets to pick the movie of the night. This has been a tradition for us for years.
When I heard about the #MovieLoversSweeps from World Market I knew I had to check out the store to see if we can find some special treats. Since World Market has lots of different products from all around the world, it was a no brainer that I will spoil the kids with lots of German Treats. I just love to shop there to grab a little piece of home.
I found lots of Haribo Gummy bears along with my favorite Hanuta (is a hazelnut wafer, SOO yummy) and Duplo candy bar (also a hazelnut and chocolate bar, similar to kit kat) and a few other products that the kids really love, I rarely buy unless it’s a special occasion, to keep it special for them and not an every day treat.
We love Fruit Juice Cocktails ~ Alcohol free of Course
We found some great fruit juices on sale that were 100% juice and like $2 each, we love to add sparkling water and make it a moktail, the kids really love it and of course if I get a treat at World Market, the Italian Soda can’t be left out. That is a must item to bring home every time I go shopping there. My kids love it and so do I.
I also made mini Pizza for dinner while the kids enjoyed the movie; pick of the night “Star Wars”. I think we will be watching for a while, so I grabbed some of the delicious meats and Salamis that World Market has in their assortment along with lots of different Pizza crusts and sauces.
I already had so many biscuits in the fridge that I needed to use them, I made our fancy schmanzy pizzas out of biscuits; yup, I did!
This is what you need to make the Fancy Movie Night Pizza
-
Grab your favorite Pizza Crust either at World Market or if you have biscuits at home
-
Grab tomato sauce of choice;
-
and your favorite cheese
This is how to make your Fancy Movie Night Pizza
-
flatten out your biscuits or use the Pizza Crust from World Market
-
add the Tomato Sauce
-
add your toppings of choice, we used Prosciutto and Cheese
-
Put in a pre-heated oven 350F for about 15 minutes or till cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
Voila, simple delicious gourmet Pizza in no time. We loved it, the kids loved it and you will love it, too.
I also grabbed some Chips, you just can’t have a movie night without chips; so after all our bellies were full with delicious German candy, gourmet Pizza we still had room to nibble on some veggie chips, they are gluten free and sooo delicious. You should try them for your next movie night.
There you have it, the perfect movie night for my family and hopefully yours as well. My kids loved their treat surprise and I just love how easy it is to find all those specialty items at my local World Market. Did you know that you can order online, too? We do movie night weekly in our home! We love getting special snacks and treats to accompany our evening. World Market is a favorite place for me to shop as I grew up on a lot of European treats since my grandparents lived in Germany. A lot of times it’s the only store I can find some of those items 🙂

Looks like a super fun spread! One of the things we loved the most when traveling through Europe last year was finding so many Haribo candies that we had never seen in the US. How fun to discover them at World Market, too. I certainly love their vast selection of world goods!

EEEK!!! You got HANUTA!!!!!! Can I shop online? I am dying for some HANUTA! We got that all the time when we lived in Germany. And the salami’s! You can’t get anything like that in my area. I like the idea of using fancy meats on biscuit pizzas! Those look tasty. We are a popcorn family, so we love all the types of popcorn that World Market has. And my daughter likes when they have gluten free foods that she can’t find anywhere else.

Hi Patti; I’m not sure what you are asking, World Market is it’s very own store across the nation, they have food from different countries along with anything you may need for the home from furniture to decor. Hope that helps
