Swish the rainbow, Taste the rainbow is one of my favorite sayings and my boys know that when I mention “Taste the rainbow” that somehow Skittles are involved. We love them in our house and they have to be part of any event or party that we are hosting.
Do you have big sports enthusiast in your home, too? I know my husband and the boys always have the TV running and watching some sort of sports event. I decided for the next basketball tournament to dish up a fun treat that they can enjoy while yelling at the TV and cheering on their favorite team.
While shopping at my local Sam’s the other day I found this super cool pallet that was full of Skittles, loved the price, under $6 each and I knew I had to bring some home for the boys. While at Sam’s I also picked up a few of the ingredients that I needed for my Skittles Fruit dip, you will be surprised how easy it was and you only need 3 ingredients plus the skittles and some fruit to dip. Within minutes you have a fun treat whipped up for your favorite sports enthusiast and they will double dribble in no time.
Have I promised too much? I did tell you that the dip was super easy and it was delicious, too. The dip can be prepared the night before and kept in the fridge without a problem or really, it took me 5 minutes to prepare you can whip it up shortly before the game comes on. Add your favorite fruit like my family enjoys apples, but strawberries and even grapes would have been a great addition, how about crackers? The possibilities are endless and you will have your very own Slam Dunk Fruit dip that will have your family raving about for days to come.
Mine asked me to add it to our regular weekend party list, they enjoyed it that much.
There you have our take on making basketball sweeter, how would you spoil your family while watching their favorite sports event? Do you have a few tricks up your sleeve? Would love to hear your favorite treat idea, leave me a comment below.
