Ohh we love our Crock Pot and I was elated when I was asked to review the new Fix-It and Forget-It Kids’ Cookbook. What a perfect Cook Book for my Crock Pot Thursday.
I couldn’t wait to get this book and look thru it with my kids. My Tween wanted to cook so I asked him to pick something and we would make it and review it on my Crock Pot Thursday for all my readers to see.

First up, let me tell you, this book is awesome.Ā It’s Simple, budget friendly meals, and kids love them. Each meal is pictured, which I love. I hardly ever look at a recipe book and make something if I don’t know what it looks like; I always look at the picture first before I even look at the ingredients. So this is just great.
Besides the Party Meatball Subs they have something for everyone from instructions on how kids can cook on their own with the slow cooker , conversion chart, safety tips to Best Breakfast and Can’t wait Dessert and everything in between… Just wonderful ideas and recipes.
Bluberry Fancy or Ham and Potato Chowder anyone. ?? ..or how about Hot Sweet Caramel Dip or even Gooey Chocolate Pudding Cake… ohh they all sound too yummy…all these and more are in this book… It is a MUST have.
Just think your Tween or teen even the Toddler with help, can cook dinner for you and learn while having fun.

This is what my Tween made for dinner for us:
Party Meatball Subs
You Need:
1 Bag of Frozen Meatballs ( or make your own)
1 Jar of your favorite Spaghetti Sauce
1 can of tomatoes ( I added this was not on the recipe)
1 Onion
1 pack of Buns, rolls or whatever bread you like
1 Green bell Pepper ( wasn’t in the recipe, but we needed to eat it)
Add the meatballs, the spaghetti sauce, the can of tomatoes to the crock pot, cut up the onion in chunks and cut up the bell peppers, all to the crock pot, stir well; close lid and let cook for8-10hrs on low or 4-6 hrs on high.
These were soooooo sooo yummy and my Tween was most excited that he did it all on his own without Mom or dad’s help.. He asked all evening, you really liked it mom?? It was awesome, with the help of the Fix-It and Forget-It Kids’ Cookbook we had a wonderful dinner prepared by my tween. I can get used to this.. there are 49 more recipes to go.. Sit back and enjoy while your kids spoil you š
Fit it and Forget it Kids Book provided me with the product listed above free of charge for my honest review. Ā No other compensation was received.Ā All opinions are 100 % my own.
