Crock Pot Thursday- Cranberry Chicken

November 11, 2010 By Melanie Roberts 10 Comments

It’s almost time for Thanksgiving… I can’t believe we are so close to the Holidays. Where did this year go? What are your plans or what is your favorite Thanksgiving recipe??

Well I made this dinner the other night and I just came up with it on my own. So I don’t have any pictures of the ingredients because I wasn’t even sure how it would turn out. But turns out it was pretty good. Felt like thanksgiving dinner at our house that night.

You Need:

Chicken Breast ($1.99lb)

Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup ( or try Cream of Chicken Soup) ($.45)

Can of Cranberry Sauce or Jelly($.45)

Chicken Stock ( I used 1/2 cup and it was perfect)

Spritz of Vinegar ( if you like, the sauce is a bit sweet with the cranberry but the vinegar will  round it out.. I left it out cause I wasn’t sure..)

Add everything to you crockpot, cover and let cook for 4 hrs on high or 6 hrs on low. Serve with Rice and a side of Stove Top stuffing ( or your own favorite kind) .

Dinner is served.

This makes for a simple yet tasty cheap dinner. Cost about $5.00 for a Family of 4 and a Toddler)

Sara… I love my CrockPot and if I could I would use it 6 days a week… lol.. working out of the house for 9+hrs and then different after school activities sure helps put a nice dinner on the table and save the $$ for a fast food run…. hope you like it… enjoy…Melanie
