Sorry for posting this so late, we just found out that our soccer practice started today so besides being busy already we had to squeeze that into our plan, but we wouldn’t have it any other way ….lol… so enough Chit Chat…here is our Crock Pot Thursday Dish.. very simple, but very good…
Beef Burgundy
Ingredients:
3lbs of Beef Roast ( about $6 on sale)
1 Cup of water/ stock
1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup ($.40 on sale)
1 envelope of Onion Soup Mix ($1.09 for 2 pack box)
1 package of Mushrooms ( my kids don’t care for mushrooms so I left them out) ($1.00 on sale)
1/3 cup (or more) red wine ( was out so I left it out, too.. Like it with better tho) ( ???)
Add everything to the crock pot, put on low for 8 hrs or high for 6 hrs… add pasta and you have supper… So Simple but yet soo good, you can add carrots or potatoes to the crock pot to add some veggies… Yummy…
About $8.50 and will feed 5 of us with leftovers…..

Using the tinned soups is a great shortcut – one I’d never thought of! I find that if you flour the beef before you add it it thickens it up nicely if you are doing it from scratch – plus a little red wine never hurts if you have it in the house!

This looks really good! I’d probably eat it with rice, pasta and me don’t mix that well sometimes!
