I know you guys love CrockPot Thursday and so with thanksgiving coming up I didn’t want you to miss it, so I’m posting it on Wednesday and then Thursday I can spend all day with my family…
This was so simple, and almost as good as German Home cooked dinners….
Here is what you need:
Bratwurst ( we used 2 packs cause we love brats)
1 Jar Sauerkraut ( we used 2..lol)
1/2 cup of stock ( or water)
1 onion
1 Apple
Add everything to the CrockPot, cut the onion and apples small and add… close the lid and walk away…
let cook on low for 4-6 hrs. ( I would try 4 hrs on low and that should be plenty, we did 6 hrs and the sausage was too soft and falling apart, but still good).
Make Mashed Potatoes to go with the Sauerkraut and Brats and dinner is served 🙂 ENJOY
