When I came home from work, all the kids were sitting on the table asking me what’s for dessert… I was so late from work and I had missed dinner L … they already ate and cleaned up.. I had no clue what to make for dessert… So I went online real quick to see what Winn Dixie had on sale, I needed some grapes for the Toddler, so might as well run into Winn Dixie real quick. I went to their Ask a Butcher page, just to see if I can come up with anything … and boy was I surprised. This was the first time I had seen this page. They have a lot of different recipes, with pictures and all nicely sorted from Beef to poultry and anything in-between. The layout of the page was great, easy to find what you were looking for and I bet for every taste a recipe.. I know I will be back more often to create my Monday meal plans. I found a recipe for Dessert, so simple and only a few ingredients needed called Easy Pop-Tarts® Crumble and while I was there I checked out dinner for tomorrow…This Cheesy Chicken & Rice Casserole sure sounded good. I marked all the ingredients and was able to put them all on one list in my shopping cart and once I was ready to go to the store, all I did was hit the print button and my entire list was ready to print.. super cool.
I love this new page, you should go and check it out next time you are in need of an easy recipe. They also have a lot of tips and ideas, there is even a wine page.. which I had to giggle about. My co-worker mentioned to me the other day ” Do you know if red wine or white wine has to stay cold once it’s refrigerated”..lol… being the wine queen I should have known the answer… But I have been out of the wine business in over 15 years, so I don’t remember it all.. BUT if I would have known about Winn Dixie’s Ask the Butcher page, I would have had the answer right there along with a lot of other wine questions.. wonderful and informative page they created.
But that’s not all, the website also offers video demonstrations like how to carve a Turkey, which was very helpful to me since I have never carved a turkey ( honestly I never even cooked one before..lol)… so that was interesting… Once I was done snooping around the new Winn Dixie Ask the Butcher page and had my shopping list and coupons ready it was time to hit the store… Grab the items that we needed and back home to make this super easy dessert for the kids and prepare dinner for tomorrow night… .You can read my entire story at Whrrl.com with pictures and all..Would love if you come check it out….
What a wonderful page, I’m glad I took a few minutes before I went off to the store to check them out, well worth it and a wealth of information….
