Mother’s Day is fast approaching and I’m currently obsessed with anything in a cup. I have no idea, but everything tastes better with some bread, sugar or cookie wrap around it, doesn’t it? Well, the other day while I had some time, I surfed the world wide web (bet you haven’t heard that expression in a while..lol) and I found a lot of yummy recipes in a cup.
They all looked delicious and just perfect. I spend hours trying to wrap my head around how they turned cookie dough into a small bowl, or how would eggs turn up like a cup. I finally found the secret, at least I think that’s what everyone is using, if not… well this is my secret, a pan, shaped like a bowl. I had to give it a try and ordered it through Good Cook. It’s called bake a bowl. I fell in love with the concept and ordered my very own pan. YUP… this isn’t sponsored at all, I loved the idea and had to check it out.
My kids love brownies and had asked me for days to make them some for dessert, once the pan arrived, I knew it would be the perfect treat for the kids or anyone else. We are still in strawberry season here in Florida, so what better way then to fill our brownie cups with Strawberry & Cream.
We prepared our brownie mix according to package directions, you could make your very own if you don’t like store bought, but I needed it fast and had a box on hand. The pan has a fill line, so pour your brownie batter into each cup up to the fill line. Preheat your oven according to directions, place the second pan that goes on top of the bowls and place in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
Once you pull your brownie cups out, let them cool a bit and voila … You have your very own, perfectly shaped brownie cup, ready to be filled. It was THAT easy! I’m impressed with the pan, spray a little Pam on each side and your cups will slide right out. I couldn’t believe how they turned out, this will be a favorite pan in my kitchen for sure. I can’t wait to try many more savory and sweet creations, I bet you will see many new brunch ideas on the blog son. I’m in love with this little gadget and I think it was well worth the investment and everyone should have a set or two (Yes… I’m thinking of buying a second pan so I can make a dozen at a time). The possibilities are endless, think cake cups, cookie cups or how about egg cups, biscuit cups and oh many many more ideas, check out Pinterest and I bet you will find a lot of amazing recipes and ideas as well.
This is what you need to make your very own Strawberry & Cream Brownie Cups
-
Brownie mix of your choice and items to prepare per package directions
-
strawberries
-
Heavy Whipping Cream
Prepare your brownies according to the directions on the package; fill to fill line on the bake a bowl pan. Wash strawberries and cut into small pieces; take about 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream, whip with a mixer till stiff, add the strawberries and fill your brownie cups… Voila, simple as that!
They were delicious, too. Especially if you fill the brownie cups when they are still a little warm. Perfect Mother’s Day treat, that’s for sure. But I’d love to have these any day of the week.
Ohh you could make a pancake bowl, add some bacon, scrambled eggs and syrup and you have a hearty super easy breakfast idea. I’m loving this pan, for me it’s like sliced bread. WHOOT. I’m off to the kitchen to create more amazing bowl ideas.
What would you bake with the Bake a Bowl pan? Share some ideas and I may turn them into a blog post… you never know.
I was not compensated nor is this a sponsored post; I purchased all items on my own and fell in love; all opinions and ideas are 100% my own, so keep on reading and let’s get cookin’

I would so love one of those pans, although my husband might give me the evil eye. Thankfully, a mini muffin tin will come close enough for now. Brownies combined with strawberries is a favorite in my house.

alonna says
what a fabulous idea! btw do you place the second pan when the batter is still runny and put in in thr oven directly? or do you bake the batter for a while until they are set and then place the second pan? thank you!
Melanie Roberts says
Hi Alonna, Nope I put the top pan on while it is still runny and put it all in the oven at the same time… it works very well!! I didn’t think so at first either and wondered how it would work but it did and still to this day love the pan, totally awesome..hope that helps
