Easter is one of my favorite Holidays, besides Christmas. It is soo much fun to see the kids run around looking for eggs and to see all the spring flowers in bloom. The Winter days are behind us and knowing that Spring has lots in store for us is just my favorite time of the year.
Growing up in Germany we celebrated Easter just the same we celebrate here in the US. My parents would hide eggs and fun Easter baskets on Easter Sunday and us kids would have a blast looking for them all day long.
With my own kids I love to keep the egg hunting tradition alive and we seek eggs all weekend long. Someone will hide them and the kids will spend hours looking for them. We also go to a community Easter egg hunt every year. It is soooo much fun and my princess can’t wait to go this year. She will be one of the older kids. She is super excited.
Another tradition that I have every year is to include lots of our favorite Hershey candy in the kids eggs and basket. I looked around the candy aisle at the stores the other day and found lots of new and fun Hershey candy that I can include in the baskets this year.
Perfect for anyone’s Easter basket, Hershey introduces the new Cadbury® Hollow Milk Chocolate Bunny. Made with smooth and creamy chocolate, it’s a delicious treat for any Easter basket. Also new this year is the Hershey’s® Kisses® Brand Solid Milk Chocolate Bunny, which provides you with everything you need for your Easter basket – a solid milk chocolate bunny and a handful of Hershey’s Kisses Brand Milk Chocolates. Other gift options include:
-
New Look – Reese’s® Reester Bunny® Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter
-
Hershey’s Solid Milk Chocolate Snapsy® Bunny
-
Hershey’s Speedy Bunny® Solid Milk Chocolate
-
Reese’s Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bunny
-
Cadbury Hollow Milk Chocolate Bunny
-
Reese’s Peanut Butter Filled Egg
So much to choose for your Easter basket this year I know you won’t be disappointed. My kids already claimed the Reese’s and the Jelly Beans in case the Easter Bunny will have some leftovers that need to be eaten before they go bad. What candy would your kids like to see in their basket?
And since Easter is right around the corner and for the second year in-a-row, The Hershey Company launched their virtual Hershey’s® Bunny Trail – an online destination featuring family Easter traditions, memories and expert tips from women across the country to help ensure you have the perfect Easter holiday.
Housed on CelebrateWithHersheys.com – the ultimate resource for everything Easter – the Hershey’s Bunny Trail will be updated with new content throughout the Easter season (March 1 – March 29), providing plenty of Easter tips, treats and memories for everyone this year.
So, what Easter Traditions do you have and what candy is your favorite? Would love to hear it. In case you are looking for more info about Hershey, be sure to visit them on the Web, be their friend on Facebook.
Thanks to Hershey for providing us with some sample of their Easter candy to include in our post; all opinions and ideas are 100% our own. I was not asked to write a positive review but we sure LOVE the Hershey Chocolate and candies.

I love all of those, but the Cadbury Bunny is new to me! I need to go pick one up for my husband! He would love it.

My kids would kill for one of the Cadbury bunnies. They fight over who gets the cadbury eggs, even though they get equal amounts!

Hershey’s makes the best candy, hands down. We’re still finishing up the Yorks! They are so good!
