Entertain the kids this summer with Playmobil #PlayTime is fun with a Horse Farm #Review

Are you looking for things to keep the kids busy this summer? Maybe for a rainy day activity? Here in Central Florida things sure heat up and we won’t be able to go outside as much as we want, so I’m always looking for fun things for the kids to do. One of our all time favorite “toys” and company is of course a German company called “Playmobil”.

I just love the many different products for boys as well as girls that Playmobil has to offer and over the last ohh 30 plus years have created many amazing play sets that can be played with one kid or your entire neighborhood; there are expansion packs or you can create your own little world.

I grew up playing with Playmobil horses and knights and all the little war toys that some of you may remember, my now Teenagers always got care packages from the grandparents in Germany that included police cars, fire trucks and even Buccaneer ships and accessories. These toys are made of high quality plastic that really can be played with; the heads and arms move in the animals, figurines and the wheels move on the cars.

On our last Germany trip last year, my princess fell in love with a few Playmobil sets that weren’t available in the US and we brought them back to play on the plane, but one thing she was really disappointed about, a Horse farm that she had to leave behind. It was just too big to take in the luggage and shipping would have been a very expensive option.

Now imagine her excitement when I saw that Playmobil released that exact same horse farm in the US for the Summer 2013 collection. I was beyond excited and my princess couldn’t wait to get her hands on it.

The nice thing about the Playmobil sets they are easy to put together, will stay together as long as you want and if you do need to take them apart to safe some space, they snap apart in a snap. Don’t let the many small pieces and packages discourage you, it really isn’t all that hard to put together. Took me about 30 minutes with a lot of interruptions; but it was all neatly organized and super simple, just snap the connecter into place and attach the rest…. So no worries.. it will all hold nicely in place even if the kids will drag it across the porch, house or to Grandmas yard.

Once we put all the pieces to our Country Farm together it was play time… my princess was beyond excited that she now can spend her rainy days playing like she did in Germany.

We just love all the details that went into this Country Horse Farm with Paddock. It comes with lots of accessories from Trees to flowers and people as well as animals. My princess spend hours pretending she is part of the Horse farm.

To Product Detailview.

You can change out the fencing; move all your animals around and include other Playmobil sets that you already have to create an entire play world. We just love it.

I also like to explore the Playmobil website every so often and found a cool addition to the Country Farm collection; they have for one a sweepstake where you can enter to win cool prizes, download coloring pages and many more activities, so be sure to check it out next time you are in need of a quick activity for the kids, I bet they will love it, I know my princess does.

This Country Horse farm is another wonderful addition to keep the imagination going and your little ones busy on a rainy day. We strongly recommend you check out any of the Playmobil sets the next time you are looking for a Birthday gift, they come in different shapes and sizes as well as price ranges and I know there is something for everyone from ages 4 to 12.

For more information, be sure to visit Playmobil on the Web or friend them on Facebook and Twitter. You can also purchase many of the Playmobil sets through Amazon.com, Toys’R’Us or many other specialty stores across the nation.

That is very cool! My son is really into “pretend play” lately and he would love a set like this. I sat in the observation booth at his preschool yesterday and noticed that he has a great imagination with the other kids and teacher. He would get a lot of use out of a set like this for home.

We have a gift card to Toys R Us, so we’ll have to check these out. I like that you mentioned that they come in different sizes so that there is flexibility for parents to decide on how large of a set. My son would definitely love something like this to use his imagination.

Boy would my sister love this. She ordered her grandchildren some horses and things from Melissa & Doug because they love farm animals. She too is in Florida, Bradenton. The kids have so much enjoyed playing with their farm animals that this would be perfect for them.

That’s a really elaborate and detailed set, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Playmobil. Their quality is top notch. In fact, I sold almost all my toys when the kids grew up but I’ve kept my Playmobil things for future grandkids because I love them so much.
