If’ you are on Facebook, which most of us are…:0) You’ve seen that Facebook recently made some updates… yet again. Do I like it, not sure… BUT I know every time Facebook makes an updated or a change, no one is happy until everyone gets used to it and then we are fine.. so I’m not to worried.. we all will be fine..
I did want to remind you if you want to keep up with our Blog and read us in your newsfeed, a few things need to be adjusted or you will not see us :0( ( or so I’m told).
But the change is simple:
go to one of my Facebook posts for Two Boys+OneGirl=OneCrazyMom and click on the right side, a drop down menu will appear and a few options will appear… I hope you will not mark us as Spam or hide us… BUT we would love you change it to MARK AS TOP STORY… that way you will be able to keep up with our posts, ideas and recipes and have us in your newsfeed…..
Can’t wait to get to know you on Facebook and would love if you all jump in on the conversation……let us know how you like us, or how you like the new Facebook and what we can improve

I know.. but we all will get adjusted.. I know it.. because every time there is a change everyone screams and complains and we get adjusted; I bet no one wants the “old” facebook back from 2 years ago….:0)

I was reading about all the changes and overall it’s not all that bad. Since I play the games on Facebook and I hate spamming people with the game “news” I am glad it’s going to be put in the corner so it won’t take up people’s time.
The one concern I have is privacy. I don’t want facebook storing all my personal information or updates about my kids into a timeline. (that’s what I have a baby book for)Then when they decide to change it again I have to reset my privacy settings. There are a ton of other “digital scrapbook” sites out there and they are a bit safer then Facebook. (timeline is still in beta)
The last thing is the permissions. You have to authorize each app now to connect to your profile and that kind of thing. Pretty soon you will only authorize one app and the rest of them won’t ask they will just do it. =o(
So it has it’s good points and bad points like most things.

loved your reply… I didn’t know about the “game” posts.. LOVE it.. I don’t mind my friend playing but like you said, I don’t want to be spamed with it all day either.. need to check that out…. and yes it has it’s good and bad and it will be only as perfect as you want it to be since nothing ever is perfect and no one ever will love everything… :0)

I love the changes they constantly make to Facebook. Each change brings the user more options and more ways to manage and manipulate their wall.
I personally believe that the complainers are in the minority, and just complain the minute they notice the wall looks a little different before they even check out exactly what the changes are.
On my end, we have 200+ friends and only six or seven of them are complaining about the changes; and they are they same people who complain each time there is an upgrade and ones who don’t use Facebook that much.
The main complaint the “followers” are reposting is regarding the newsfeed. However, the user has the option(s) to set up the newsfeed to their liking. Last year, I set up two lists; one “Friends” and the other “Groups”. I now have our wall set up to either see all posts from everyone as they happen, just posts from friends, or justs posts from groups.
I’m betting that if Facebook reverted back to the way it was two years ago, everyone would be complaining given how little control we had back then. People don’t seem to realize that Facebook has improving the site to be more user-friendly and give users more options to set up their wall to their personal perferences.

Okay Denise.. I need to take lessons from you.. I really have no time to even figure out how to set up everything.. I had no clue that I can set up groups etc.. and funny thing; that was my #1 complaint, everything else I was able to deal with I wished I could set it up.. and there it is.. just now I need to figure it out… thanks for letting me (us ) know…:0)

I would just suggest not to overthink making changes to your page. They are actually very easy and simple to do and really take no time to make the changes to your liking. Just play around with it. You can start by going to the drop-down arrow at the upper right corner of the page and click on “Account Settings”. Uncheck the box for “Email Frequency” if you would like to receive all notifications. Then, click on “Notifications” on the left-hand side and you can play around with your notification setups in there. Also, now when you go to a another person’s wall you have the option to pick the frequency of that person’s updates and the kinds of updates you want to see from that person. There are many other enhancements that came with along with this current update. Just look around and play around. You can always undo something if you don’t like it. Just don’t accidently delete your account!LOL
