My kids and hubby love soccer; perfect timing for us to be in Germany since the European Soccer Cup is going on; we watched every German game so far and Germany advanced into the next round; Germans have set up public viewing places in every city, every street and even bring out their TV’s into the backyard, patio or porch…. it’s CRAZY!!! But we loved it… so enjoying the craziness.
Our last game against Greece was a HIT; Germany won 4:2 and the second the finished whistle blew every single German person flocked onto the street with flags, whistles, noise makers and anything they could grab… it was crazy… but the really crazy part was the parade of cars for ahhhmmm 2-5 hours long and then some…; I had to take a video since I didn’t think anyone would believe me the craziness and excited that Germany won…. We spend a good 2 hours watching the car parade, the noise, the screaming and all the excitement and then we left, but I know the “Party” went on in the street for many many hours after we left…. Germans do know how to throw a good party… get the entire town onto the street and have fun….. This is something that had to be experienced and I’m soo thankful that my kids and hubby where able to take part and take the crazy memories back to the states…. here I’m sharing our crazy memories with you…. what ya think…..?? There are 2 more games left in the tournament and if we win it will just get even more crazier, soooo fingers crossed for Germany….

Not crazy.:-) Very normal. And a bit funny how people can be involved in sport events and enjoy the game. I ve never participated in anything like that – but I like to see it on TV screen – similar atmosphere was in Slovakia after final match at world hockey championship this year. We lost out but the nation was in trance.:-))
