Get caught Reading – Dinosaur Train Book Giveaway

DINOSAUR TRAIN’s “Buddy” and SID THE SCIENCE KID’s “Sid” are participating for the first time this year in May’s Get Caught Reading Month, organized by the Association of American Publishers as part of its annual nationwide campaign devised to remind people of all ages how much fun it is to read.

As part of the campaign, both Buddy and Sid are depicted “caught reading” in posters made available to teachers and parents for use in classrooms, libraries and other locations. The posters are FREE (shipping is a flat $5 for up to 12 posters). You can order these posters and a LOT of other educational posters HERE!

According to the Association of American Publishers, research indicates that early language experience actually stimulates a child’s brain to grow and that reading to children gives them a huge advantage when they start school. I think we can all agree to that! Reading is critical for children to learn and be encouraged in. I’ve always read to my kids even while I was pregnant with them, all three love to read. The toddler and the Tween always have a book in their hand and love it. Reading is sucha big thing for little ones, it will help them in school with more than just being able to read; it’s a tool and a stepping stone into their future, so take some time each night and read with your little ones… I know we do and the kdis love it and we have bonding time with the kids. We love Dinosaur Train and Sid the Science Kid. What… ?? You don’t know who Sid the Science kid is or Dinosaur train? Well, let me tell you, you are missing a lot of fun. Sid is a preschool boy who is always asking questions and conducting his own experiments. Dinosaur Train is a great preschool show about the Buddy (a T-rex) and his Pteranadon family! Kids will learn all about the different dinosaurs and the time periods in which they lived.
