Hard to believe but one month from now, my kids will be heading back to school. Didn’t summer vacation just start? This year I have one starting 1st grade, one as a freshmen in High school and one as a freshmen in college. Time sure flies but the one thing that stays always the same … They need school supplies, new clothes, shoes and all the fun goodies back to school must haves.
This year, just like the many years before I shop sales and try to find the best deal. The last few years I found pretty good deals at Kohl’s and this year wasn’t any different. The one thing that was different and I was a bit surprised, I found school supplies at kohl’s. YES! Paper, markers, pens and anything else you may need for your supply list. I loved it, making Kohl’s my one stop shop for everything from Dorm supplies to new outfits, School uniforms, lunchboxes and book bags and anything in-between the kids thought they had to have. Did you know that office Max has teamed up with kohl’s to provide the school supplies in store and of course they are at the very best price just like all the other items you find at Kohl’s. Oh and you can earn Kohl’s cash, don’t forget that!
My goal this year for my daughter was to keep her back to school budget at $300 and that would have to include everything she would need for the year. I think I did pretty well. Check out all the Back to School items I was able to get.
I got her all the essentials that she would need to have a good start in 1st grade. Since she is on strict uniform policy I got her 4 shorts/skirts, 4 school shirts, a school dress, pair of tennis shoes, underwear, backpack and lunch box. I also had to splurge on a few non-school items because the price was just that good and I knew she needed a few fun outfits besides the school uniforms. I grabbed her a few flip flops and yes, I got two different sizes, they are soo cute and I wanted her to wear them for a while, we are in Florida, what can I say. I also got her a few skirts for no uniform days. All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase and my grand total came to … are you ready?
Yup… just under $300. I ended up spending $296.11 saved $274.87 and earned $50 in Kohl’s cash. I can’t wait to go back and use the Kohl’s cash for the school supplies as soon as we get our list from the school. Once I have that done, I know we are all ready for back to school with #Kohls101.
Are you ready for back to school yet? Do you think it will be a time saver for you to pick up all your supplies and uniforms in one stop shop thanks to #Kohls101? Would love to hear your thoughts about it and maybe you already did your shopping at Kohl’s would love to hear all about that too.
P.s. I have a little secret, be sure to come back to the blog in a few days for a $100 Kohl’s gift card giveaway!!!!
