GoPicnic Review & Giveaway

December 28, 2010 By Melanie Roberts

I just love to introduce you guys to healthy snacks for our little ones. I came across GoPicnic.com and was really excited to find out more about them. GoPicnic.com offers snacks for just about every diet from Gluten Free, Vegan even kosher and Vegetarian.

GoPicnic’s founders developed the concept of the shelf-stable picnic meal in 2004 for a major US airline whose existing buy-on-board fresh food service program was costing it millions of dollars annually due to high levels of waste from unused meals as well as incremental personnel expenses stemming from the need for in-flight food preparation. The shelf-stable snackbox solution that the GoPicnic founders created to address these issues generated profit for the airline for the first time in its food service history and provided customers with a reliable quality product at a good value.

This is the Box that we received. I decided to try the kids gluten free snack box. It arrived in perfect timing with our soccer tournament weekend; we were on the go all weekend and had little time to grab a bite. So I took the entire box and let the kids snack on it while watching one of the older kids play soccer or on the way home.  I felt actually good letting them snack on “healthy” stuff and not worry about the junk food. I loved the Pop Chips.. never baked, never fried.. these rice chips are delicious.. everyone was fighting over them. Hubby, being the hunter he is,  enjoyed the Old Wisconsin Turkey Snack Bites and the Toddler loved the Gummy Bears the Teen and Tween just loved it all and kind of wanted it all to themselves. So this was a big hit in our house.

GoPinic has a bunch of different Care package from Kids meals to Gluten free packages go check them all out HERE. You can purchase your own GoPicnic on GoPicnic.com or Amazon.com. While you are there why not grab a few for your next on the go adventure.. and be at ease that you can still feed your family some nutritious snacks while on the run. Check GoPicnic out on Facebook or Twitter

You can also win your very own Care package, right here.

I would choose the salmon and crackers. I love salmon but the family doesn’t, so it just isn’t cost effective to make myself some and the rest of the family something else. it would be nice to have my own little treat 🙂

I’d love to try the fun food care package. We are on the go a lot and having some healthier snacks that are easy to get to would be better than some of the junk that we grab now.
