We made it through Hurricane Matthew and since the kids were afraid of their first Hurricane I decided to make a fun dinner idea to cheer them up and that’s how Halloween Monster Bash Pasta was created. As a little housekeeping this is not a sponsored post, all ideas are my own I do have affiliate links in the post.
The kids had a blast helping me with this pasta, it is really easy to make and the turnout was so fun. I’m big about making my own pasta and love using my Pasta Maker almost daily. Did you know making your own pasta can be really simple? I know I love it. A few ingredients and 10 minutes you have fresh pasta in all sort of shapes and sizes. I’m kind of addicted. So in my post I used the Pasta Maker but for you you can use regular pasta if you don’t make your own. It works the same either way and you will love it.
Once I finished my pasta I looked around the fridge and found the Mozzarella balls that I had bought for a different dinner creation but figured they would be perfect for this, you can pick them up at almost any grocery store, just cut them into smaller circles and your eyes are formed.
See, I told you this is such an easy and fun recipe, you can use different food coloring color if you like to change the color of your pasta, we loved the purple and the best part, your mouth did not stain! This will be so handy for many holidays like turn it green for Halloween or even Easter or make it red for Christmas, you will see this is a fun dinner idea.
Since this is so easy, kids could actually help you make it from start to finish and see how creepy their plates turn out and what a fun dinner conversation this will be. It was a hit on our table from the teen who doesn’t like anything to my princess who always needs action, even my husband got a chuckle out of it and enjoyed dinner.
Simple, easy and fun is how we roll so grab the few ingredients and dish up a delicious meal for your family. I also make my own pasta sauce in my Bellini Kitchen Master because you know me, homemade is always best and if it really takes the same amount to cook homemade then to open a can it’s a no brainer for me. So stay tuned I will share my Pasta Sauce recipe in a few days as well, it is sooo easy trust me!
Would love to see your dinner creations so be sure to share them on Twitter or Facebook I can’t wait what colors or creepy meal ideas you are dishing up for your family ~ Happy Halloween
