Help Breast Cancer research with Belk and Belkie the bear

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to partner once more with Belk through its Belk Gives initiative. Starting with their fall 2010 program, Belk increased their commitment to Komen for the Cure with an annual minimum guaranteed donation of $1,000,000 for a total of $3,000,000 over three years.

Belk will host its annual Columbus Day weekend event October 7 through 10, 2011 to raise funds for Komen for the Cure. Belk will give shoppers who make a donation of $1 or more to Komen a discount shopping pass for the event weekend.

Belk will also donate 1% of its total store sales nationwide to Komen from September 30, 2011 through October 2, 2011. Additionally, Belk will outfit its Belkie Bear in pink for 2011, donating $5 to Komen for each bear sold (retail sales price is $14.99). For more information on Belk, visit www.belk.com.
