Helping shelter pets can be so easy

It’s my favorite time of the year. I love fall, I love October and I love all that this time of the year brings. Each year I look forward to a promotion that was put on for a few years now and by far it has been my favorite of the year. I’m so excited and honored to team up with PEDIGREE® to share you how you can in a simple way help shelter pets all across the nation.

This is such a near and dear to my heart cause, if I could I would bring them all home with me. It breaks my heart knowing that many cats and dogs are left in shelters and patiently waiting for their forever family. I hope that one day every cat or dog will have a loving home and thanks to organizations like PEDIGREE® who give back.

The word for the Fill a bowl, feed a dog in need campaign needs to get out and it’s simple to do. When a PEDIGREE® product is purchased at Sam’s Club, the PEDIGREE® brand will donate a bowl of food to a dog in need. How awesome is this? This is the time of the year when I stock up because my purchase will go further and my hopes to get every pet a home is a little closer.

Why am I so passionate about this cause? See my Woodstock was a shelter pet, we rescued him when he was 2. I look at him every single day thinking “Why did you end up in a shelter?”. He is the sweetest, cutest, funniest and most loving dog I have ever met.

He is a black and white Shih-Tzu and a pup you would never think of finding at a shelter. He is my poster child for this post today. He is the face of a shelter pet and it breaks my heart knowing there are many more just like him ready to give love and kisses to their forever family.

The moment we adopted Woodstock he was part of the family and I couldn’t imagine living without him. He made our Peanut Gallery complete. We already have Snoopy, our beagle who is now 11 years old and we have our Charlie Brown the white Lhasa who was rescued from a family that was in a bad situation, he is 12 now.

Our Peanut Gallery is unique, fun and crazy in their very own way. They all have personalities and ways of sharing their love but in the end, they love to be together and support each other no matter what, just like family.

Woodstock enjoys being part of our family knowing he doesn’t have to worry about where to go, what to do and how to his my next meal. He loves belly rubs, sleeping on the couch and fighting with his siblings just like it should be for every dog out there. So let’s all take a heart pick up your favorite PEDIGREE® or PEDIGREE® DENTASTIX™ product at your local Sam’s Club and help a shelter pet to get a meal that day, too.
