Holiday Gift Giveaway …. Friday #3

November 19, 2010 By Melanie Roberts

And the Holiday Gift Giveaway for Friday is……

The Frugal Foodie Cookbook

You know how much I watch what we spend at the grocery store and we make our Meal Plan 4 weeks in advance and stick to it 90% of the time and I also love to try new recipes. Well let me say this little book is a BIBLE of savings, recipes and ideas. It’s a MUST Have in your kitchen.

The author Lara Starr is a baker,a  blogger and a cook with a calculator ( I love that) and Lynette Shirk is a four star Frugal Foodie who has cooked at Masa’s , Postrio, Chez Panisee and Williams-Sonoma. This book is all about eating better than ever on less… Just perfect for me.

So I gave it a try and I will not let go of this anymore. This will stay in my kitchen right next to me when I make my meal plans from now on…

This Book will provide you tips, tricks and ideas on how to make a great Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner for a lot less, but still tasty as ever…How about making your own  personal Bisquick Mix….??

Base Bisquick Mix

8 cups Flour

1/3 cup baking powder

1 tablespoon salt

3 tablespoons sugar

8 ounces unsalted butter

then you can make Biscuits , Pancakes or waffles by adding the remainder like Milk, eggs or vanilla…

I love recipes that can be used in many different ways… this book is just easy to use and will save you a lot of money at the grocery store but will give you ideas for a great meal for your family.

You can buy this book on Amazon.com or your local book store. This book retails for $15.95;

or you can win your own copy by entering my Giveaway. This would make a great hostess gift, teacher gift and many more possibilities… or just keep it all to yourself.. you will love it..

MERRY CHRISTMAS…

Right now I am just learning the frugal lifestyle and I am not very good at it yet so my only answer that I have used so far is clipping coupons. I am hoping to learn how to do this stockpiling thing, cooking from scatch, and much more. I am sure this book will help in my adventures.

Only buy what you can use is my trick. I know a lot of people buy because it’s a great deal but then it just sits there.. if you dont use it no matter how good of a deal it is, it didn’t save you any money
