And the Holiday Gift Giveaway for Monday is……
What we think about this book …..?
Well let me tell you… I think this is a MUST have book if you ever have any Church gatherings, family get together’s, parties.. anything heck even just a family of 2….. this book is AWESOME… At first I wasn’t too sure about it, the cover didn’t really appeal to me and I hardly ever, let me think.. NEVER actually had a Potluck dinner that I had to bring anywhere…. so I almost passed up the book… but decided “Oh well, why not check it out”… and I must say I’m glad I did… I really really like the recipes in the book.
The back of the Book has also a number chart if you are NOT cooking for a football team, it gives you instructions for all kind of ingredients so you can adapt each recipe to the size of family/ gathering you have.
For example it gives you a list for Meat – Chicken boneless 1/2 pound for a single serving, 3 1/2 -4 pounds for 12 people and 7-8 pounds for 25 guest and so on.. it is really cool and you can adapt the recipes to your needs.
How about a PERFECT Pumpkin Pie…
( makes 2 Pies)
You Need:
1 pack frozen pie shells ( 2 shells are in each pack)Filling:
1 cup sugar ( 1/2 white and 1/2 brown) 3 cups pumpkin puree ( 2 pints) 1 Egg 1 can condensed Milk 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Pinch of Nutmeg Topping: 1 cup brown sugar 1cup flour 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup chopped pecansHow to make it:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees 2. Mix all the filling ingredients well and pour into unbaked pie shell 3. Puls the sugar, flour and butter in a food processor until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Stir in the chopped paeans by hand and spread over the top of the pie. 4. Place the pie plate on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or tin foil to catch any drippings if the filling overflows 5. bake for 55 minutes…
ENJOY!!
Now didn’t that sound yummy?? I will make this one for sure, simple and yummy… The book has almost 200 pages of Delicious recipes that your family will love… So never judge a book by it’s cover… and enter the Giveaway for your Own Potluck Survival Guide

My favorite Holiday day desert is one of my own making. Essentially it is a curry and nutmeg cheesecake topped with a pumpkin pie and on top of that a pecan crumble.
