Hot Toys 2012: Felt Stories and more #Review

Do you remember the felt toys and board books from way back when? Weren’t they a lot of fun? I remember when I was little, felt boards were my all time favorite thing. You could create and imagine all at the same time; and play for hours without getting bored.

I had all forgotten about how much fun felt boards were until a few arrived in my mail the other day. My princess, she’s 4, immediately grabbed one of the Felt Tales boards from Babalu Inc. and started to play.

At first I was gonna make her stop, I usually don’t let the kids grab a review product until I’m ready to work with it, but within seconds she was in her own little world; she spend a good 2 hours playing with the Happy tales felt board and even at dinner time, I had a hard time taking it away from her. She LOVED it!

Who would have guessed that a simple board covered with felt would keep a 4 year old that entertained and occupied for hours. My Princess created her own little world on top of the felt board and just used her imagination. It was wonderful to see her light up and pretend play with such a cool, yet simple product.

If you remember felt, it clings to itself, so none of her “game” pieces ever fell off or got moved around unless she wanted them to, cleanup was a breeze, everything goes back onto the board and you are done…LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! I’m very impressed with the quality of the felt board and any of the Babalu Inc., products that we received.

The Babalu, Inc. company has many other fun and super cool products, that would make a wonderful Christmas present for any little boy or girl. We also received a few samples of their Shadow Story books. AMAZING is all I can say; which kid doesn’t like to read in the dark and create flashlight shadows? I know I do and my kids love it  and that makes the Shadow Story books juts a perfect addition for your bedtime routine. They even come with their very own little flashlight that you can store inside the book for easy access.

My princess keeps asking over and over for us to read these fun stories at bedtime and we have a little Mommy and Me time along the way…. I love to give books as a present and these Shadow Books would be a big hit with your little ones, I’m certain.

Wow.. soo many fun products for your little ones; endless of hours of playtime that won’t break your bank or even requires any kind of battery hookup. I’m loving the Babalu, Inc. products and will make the company my first stop when I need gifts. I love the interactive and imaginary play, something that is more often forgotten about nowadays.

For more information, be sure to visit Babalu, Inc. on the web or follow on Facebook.

We received the product for our honest review; all opinions are 100% our own and no other compensation was nor will be received. Affiliated links may be included in the post.

Toys that inspiration creative play are totally the bestest! My sons love the Shadow Stories. It’s so cool how clever the designs are and the shadows they produce.

Hmm, I’ve actually never played with felt board. Sounds fun. I bet my daughter would like it. I’m also a big fan of creative play.

My sisters and I really enjoyed felt boards when we were younger, as did my daughter. These look like lovely sets! Would be a great choice for the youngest of my nieces and nephews! Thanks for sharing!
