How do I keep my family happy…??

How do I keep my family happy?? This is a question I’ve been asked over and over the last few weeks, and then I wonder.. How do YOU keep your family happy? Do you have any special notes you give your kids or have some favorite meal your hubby likes?? One of my biggest thing is to keep the kids happy and I try to surprise them with little home written notes in their lunchbox or special heart shaped sandwiches for dinner.

I’m a pleaser and I try to do as much as I can to keep everyone happy, I know usually the saying goes” if mom isn’t happy, no one is”, but in my house I love to make everyone happy and it has worked wonders for us.

I always try to go above and beyond my duty to spoil my little ones, whether it be me cooking their favorite dinner or buying the kids their favorite drink. I hardly ever say no. My kids have rules and they know I can be as strict as I need to or as relaxed as I want to, as long as they don’t cross the boundary we will be a happy family.

I love to surprise hubby with a phone call in the afternoon, when he least expects it, just to say “I’ve been thinking about you”… I also love to tell hubby that we can’t afford such and such item, after he has bugged me for days, if he really wants it, I will look for coupons and then once I can get it for the price I had in mind, I will surprise him with the item. I did that the other day, he had his heart set on the ESPN Magazine, but I just don’t want to pay shelf price. I did research and told hubby for a good 6 weeks no and pretended that I didn’t even care…. One day I found a super deal on the Magazine, $2 for a year.. I bought the subscription, wrapped the confirmation in a box and left it on the counter for him.. he was beyond ecstatic.. it’s the little things that make my family happy. Think outside the box.

Talking about coupons, coupons will keep my family very happy. I can purchase the favorite food that the kids keep asking for most of the time for free, making Mom happy and mom get’s brownie points for keeping the kids happy…J Can’t beat that… It’s funny I keep a note pad on the fridge and the kids add stuff they like… I use the same strategy as for hubby; I pretty much ignore it for a while, while looking for deals and coupons .. but once I get a deal.. Boy.. I’m the best mom ever and the entire family can benefit from my coupon obsession…
