Did you know that June is National Candy month? Well… what better way then to celebrate with another amazing candy that actually came from Germany as well. Don’t you love all my little Germany mentions? I bet you are ready to book that trip now and check the country out for yourself…hihih… well… I just love to share my hometown memories with you and Werther’s Original or Werthers Echte like we call it is a great way to do that.
I also just found out that Werther’s Original has a sugar free version. YUP… all the flavor, all the enjoyment with out the sugar!!! WHOOT!! can it get any better then that?
Besides the Werther’s Original there are other amazing flavors all sugar free; Caramel Apple, Caramel Cinnamon, Caramel Coffee and a Walmart exclusive the Caramel Chocolate. My all time favorite is still the original and eating it for days now, I don’t miss the sugar at all. It still tastes the same as it always has with less carbs. I love it.
Ohhh.. this brings back lots of memories. I actually haven’t had one of the Werther’s Original since I left Germany many years ago and I can honestly say that eating my first Werther’s Original immediately reminded me of my Grandpa. He always had a pocket full of the Werther’s Original and us kids always got to grab one or two and we loved it. We didn’t get a lot of candy so this always was a special and delicious treat. Of course my memories with my grandpa are so found as well, he has since past away and this was a great throw back moment for me. Do you have any memories with Werther’s Original? Also, the Werther’s Original Sugar Free has 40 percent, YES.. 40 percent less calories than regular Werther’s Original hard candy.. WOW.. that is amazing, yet they didn’t loos a bit of flavor!!!
