Everywhere you look you will see a Smartphone. People are Tweeting, texting and shopping no matter where they are. We are in a fast pace world and more things will be handled on the Smartphone then ever before. Do you bank online? Do you shop online?
Slowly my family is moving into the 21st Century and we all have Smartphones, hard to believe. A year ago I told everyone we would NEVER ever have a Smartphone. We have a PC, why would I need a Smartphone? Well, forward 12 months now and I couldn’t be without my phone anymore. I’m able to quickly check e-mails, buy Christmas gifts online and check my bank account, all from my Smartphone.
More and more Americans use their Smartphone like a PC and handle all their business on the phone. Have you ever thought about what if you loose your phone, will someone get all your credit cards that are saved on the phone, what about banking information, all your contacts? I know for me it would be devastating, I have my entire life on the phone, like most of us, I’m sure.
Norton has moved into the 21st Century as well with their #SmartSecurity for your mobile devices. Just like we protect our computer with the trusted name, we now can trust Norton to protect our mobile devices like tablets, Smartphones and anything else we have on the go.
Did you know…
-
More than 1/3 of smartphone users have experienced mobile cybercrime (2013 Norton Report)
-
Mobile devices and retail apps have made it easier than ever to shop and gift on the go. In fact,
-
58 percent of U.S. consumers used smartphones and 42 percent used tablets to shop during Cyber Monday 2012 (IBM).
-
Only shop from secure sites – Whether shopping on a smartphone, tablet or home computer, only use reputable retailers and websites – look for HTTPS in your browser address bar before entering your personal information or credit card information.
It’s time we protect our mobile devices as well. We protect our cars, our homes our PC’s, why not our Smartphones? Think about it, your entire life is in there and you don’t want to lose that in the blink of an eye.
A few features that I really like about Norton Mobile Security, which retails for $29.99 for a year are:
-
Call Cell Phone ~ If I ever misplace it, or loose it in the car, or have no clue where it went, I can go online and call the phone. if you phone was stolen you can contact the person that has the phone. Love that
-
Scream ~ If you’ve lost your device, you can sound an audible alarm, even if your device’s volume is turned off. That is something I use ALL the time; I can never keep track of my phone. Wish they would have this for my car keys, too.
-
Locate your phone ~ Whether it was stolen or you misplaced the phone; Norton Mobile Security can locate it for you. You can do all that online by logging in to your Norton Account.
Let mobile security help you – These days, your mobile phone is more than just a communication device – it’s a social network, Internet browser and wallet. It’s important to take the same care and protection as you would a computer, and use a comprehensive solution like Norton Mobile Security (available for download on iTunes, Google Play and other official app marketplaces), so you’re protected no matter where you shop, surf or share.
Many awesome features that if you have a Smartphone, or even have one that you are giving as a Christmas Gift, should have Norton Mobile Security App on the phone to keep your personal things protected. There is also a free trial, be sure to check it out and see if the Norton Mobile Security is right for you and your family.

protecting your phone and information is so important. I have lost my phone before and it would be horrible should someone find it and get all my info. Just the same, it’s pretty scary to think it can be hacked even while it is in your possession. This is SO important!

I’m not entirely a fan of Norton. I had it on a Windows computer years ago and it didn’t work so well with me. Maybe it might be better on my phone. 🙂

I had no idea that Norton even offered mobile security. I never considered having it but it does make sense to protect your personal information on your phone they way you would on your laptop.
