Here is what you need:
- Any solid color Christmas Ornament
- Acrylic Paint, white
- Black Permanent marker
- Paint your little ones hand white, make sure the whole hand is painted white
- put the Christmas ornament in the child’s hand and let them wrap his/her hand around the ornament to get the hand print on the ornament
- Let dry, hang it up to dry so it won’t smear of the hand print
- Once the paint is dry let the little one paint hats and faces on his/ her hand print to turn his hand print into snowman’s.
- Add following poem, we laminated ours but you don’t have to:
There aren’t just five snowmen as anyone can see. I made them with my hand which is part of me. Now each year when you trim the tree You’ll look back and recall Christmas 20XX (add the year you made the ornament) When my hand was just this small.
This is such a nice memory and I think if you start this as a Christmas tradition and add that to your tree each year you can see how much the child has changed each year. I love stuff like that to compare and keep memories alive. (this is also a great craft for school teachers to make with their students and share with their family)

That is really cut. i love how they look like snowmen too. I think I’ll have to try this with my 5 and 2 year old.

These are really pretty, I always helped my kids make something to give, I think it’s really important that they know to give from the heart. Their grown now, and they still make them and we call them Heart Gifts. Because they are made with love from the heart.

I really love this idea! I am a big fan of homemade gifts and handprint gifts, but sometimes they turn out only cute enough for a mom to love. 🙂 This is so beautiful I would make them for anybody!
