Do you like pie? Do you like it simple? I know I do and I love to dish up fun ideas for my family and friends for our holiday celebrations and I’ve shared many fun recipes over the last few weeks already and decided to create another simple and fun recipe that could be used as a last minute Thanksgiving dessert idea. #TankfullySweat
I picked up all my ingredients at Walmart the other day during our weekly shopping trip, yes… my kids talked me into a few pies from Mrs. Smiths. We love the pies, they always are top notch and affordable and perfect in the freezer for the last minute party take along. If we get pie we always get a few tubs of Cool Whip, just can’t have pie without Cool Whip, is your house like that, too? If so, I have a great coupon that you want to print before you head out and pick up your pie for the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner.
I told the boys to grab a few of their favorite pies but honestly I’m tired of the same old pies. Everyone can bake a pie, I wanted to kick them up a notch and make a simple Mrs. Smith’s pie something special and I bet you wouldn’t believe me that it took no time at all but will be a hit at every family event or holiday party this season and as a side note it looked delicious, too. My teen wasn’t a big fan of Pumpkin pie so he grabbed a Very Berry Pie and told me to work my magic and trust me I did.
To me there is nothing better then berries and warm vanilla pudding with nuts and whip cream and why not give the Mrs. Smith’s pie a twist and use it in a parfait. It was super easy to do and you can prepare them the day of the party or a day ahead, I like the pudding to be warm with my berries, but still amazing if it’s chilled, either way it will be the talk of any party.
Did I promise too much? I told you it would be simple and delicious. There you have it, this will impress at any party and with anyone. You could use apple pie or maybe even pumpkin pie for this and come up with your very own version.

As you can tell, I used the entire cake, didn’t remove the crust at all, just scooped the cake the way it was and put it in the jars so everyone will be able to enjoy their cake and eat it, after all we all know during the holiday season we can splurge a little. If you put your pudding and the Cool Whip in plastic baggies to fill your jars it will be a lot easier and cleaner for you to handle it and also will be done in just minutes. Nothing fancy was used in my jars at all, I know if I can do it, you can, too. #CollectiveBias

What an interesting idea. I probably would use Pumpkin Pie as that is my favorite or maybe Apple Pie. Thank you for this recipe!

Those look exactly like some old candle jars we have around here somewhere. Great idea, I may have to repurpose them now!
