Tuesday Lunch Box day is upon us again… Where did the week go. Today I don’t have any recipes that I came up with but I will share some tips and tricks to make lunch time fun.
- Pick a letter of the day and let your little one pack lunch with items that start with your letter i.e Today’s Letter is A like Apple and pack for lunch Apple Slices, Apple Juice, Apple Sauce, …..
- Pick a Color of the day, anything with that color will be packed for lunch, you can also make a game, pack Green Apples, Green Jello, Green Celery & Peanut Butter Logs, and don’t tell your child what the color of the day is and let them guess and tell you once they get home from school.
- Pick a Theme of the week, like Farm, add anything to the lunchbox that comes from the farm, cheese Sandwich, Yogurt, Chocolate Milk
- You can also cut look for Cookie cutters in the shape of the Theme or Letter that you have for the day and cut your sandwiches to go along with the Theme/Letter.
All these ideas are soo much fun for helping the little ones learn their letters, words, colors…. Don’t ask me how I came up with this idea, but I was bored last night and just started thinking, this would be such a great idea to do for lunch and I bet the kids can’t wait to go to lunch and look at all their “P” letter foods or come home and tell mom… I figured out what the color of the day was “RED’…..
Enjoy your lunch…. 🙂
