This has been a family recipe; back in Germany we had this at least once a month for dinner. It was yummy yet a cheap meal and trust me it will fill you up. Sometimes I mix it up and add different veggies or different fruit, but in general the traditional Hawaiian Toast is my favorite.
Hubby made it for me the other evening and I thought it would be fun to show you what Hawaiian toast is and how yummy it is. Can be made for lunch, Brunch or even as a snack. A few years ago when I worked at a day care we had to bring a dish and I thought this, no one ever heard of it and they all loved it…. Everyone asked for the recipe…. I hope you will like it, too.
This is what you will need:
- Toast
- Ham slices
- Pineapple whole, canned
- sliced cheese
This is how to make it:
-
Toast the bread, a little crunchier then usual, but not burned; add butter to one side and lay on the cookie sheet till all the toasts are done and buttered.
-
Pre-head oven or toaster oven to 350F
-
Add one or two slices of ham to each toast, add pineapple on top of the ham and cover with a slice of cheese.
-
Put in the oven for 5-10 min till the cheese is melted
-
Enjoy

This is interesting. I’ve not seen anything like it!
I am not a big fan of ham, or sliced cheese, but something about it looks like I should figure out how to make my own concoction. ; )
I just sent you an email. Let me know if you get it please! I hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
